So I went to Steam to purchase the one online..and with all the patches etc..with an enormous surprise ,I realize that I purchased this CD back in 2011 and it asked me to Install..but it said COD Modern warfare 2..is this the same Game as Call of Duty 4 Modern warfare..?? Region code 1 is Canada and the United States, Region code 5 is Australia. On computers, ps3, ps4 all world region codes work. You only need 2 patches for COD4 (1.6 and 1.7). The 1.6 patch has all previous patches in it. Try installing the 2 of them again. Then reinstall it all again with your old cd key, click no to running punkpuster when it shows up. Then install the 2 patches. If you had your old COD4 still installed from your old game and installed the new one over top it may of caused errors. I am just guessing at that. If that fails you may want to let someone have access to your computer to see if they can see what is going wrong. I have never heard of this happening before.
