At least 960,000 Jews And approximately 74,000 Poles, 21,000 Roma (Gypsies), and 15,000 Soviet prisoners of war; and 10,000–15,000 members of other nationalities (Soviet civilians, Czechs, Yugoslavs, French, Germans, and Austrians) were Murdered and Cremated at Auschwitz.  No official count of how many Men, Women and Children were killed by experimentation.

The sick demented son of a bitches experimented on children. Why the hell would people want to remember that shit or even visit such a place?

I would say that is the most disturbing place on the entire planet to visit.

IMO they need to level that place and build a huge memorial to remember the people and not so much the Place.

It is a museum now so people can learn from the past. That was also the wish from the people who survived this camp, to show the world what happend there.

The saddest thing is in the world still people get murdered for nothing, justfor being born in the wrong country or with the wrong skin colour or other stupid reasons.

For me my visit was something I will never,   forget, made me even more thankfull for living in freedom, with good health, no fear etc. It made me realise again how precious each human live is.

I agree daniel, it should not be planed and become a monument - that would not explain or transport half of the cruelty that happened there. Its important people do understand what happend and learn from the past, just to be more certain what they do now and in future.

We should allways be aware that it just takes one person to make thousands of morons and not thinking people follow his weird ideas and sick plans. Unfortunately these happens again and again and people dont realize it even sometimes. Also right now.... just saying.

We can be just thankfull for our easy lifes, freedom and the ability of self expression.
