Funny story: Aug 2, 2008 I purchased 2 OCZ StealthXStream 600W for me and my son. Mine was broken. OCZ replaced it with a OZC EliteXStream 800W. 8 rma's later they sent me an 850w turbo psu that was not made by them. lol I have used it ever since. Not 1 issue.

Rule #1 when troubleshooting ANYTHING. If you don't know EXACTLY what the problem is, start with the simplest, cheapest part first. Replace the CMOS battery, chances are you can use it in your car keys if that's not it! LOLOLOLOL

Look on one side of battery for letters and numbers. Then order that battery.

Hopefully your power supply fixes the issue.  (if it was voltage stability issues).  If not i had some stupid biostar motherboard before, that would not behave: blue screens, freezes, shutdowns....started acting up and never behaved again until the day i replaced it.  (even with different vid card, ram, psu).   Wish u the best of luck, that crap can be frustrating.

LOL well hell, I got my parts Tuesday, and now it wants to start right up. Sooo I haven't replaced them yet. I think it's just messing around with me, or maybe it don't like the thought of me running my hands up in it. hahaha.. Anyway next time it won't start, I'm going in Hands first!

Well haha, I finally changed out the power supply and battery tonight. I went to play waw and both times I went in, got a weapon, BAM the whole pc shut down. Now you know I was pissed and if you ever hear a southern country girl say oh hell no, RUN..

Anyway everyone in the house left me alone, didn't wanna be near me in fact. Just in case they said it didn't turn out well.. well that wasn't nice of them. No help at all, not even to hold a light. So I did it myself. Woo Hoo

It took me a little over 30 mins to take it out, take out the video card to get to the battery, cleaned the inside of the case, video card, processor, fans and got it all hooked back up and DANG IT .. it worked! so I didn't have to yell dirty words and no one here was in danger! I had to reset the clock lol don't even want to mention what year it thought it was..

Went back into waw and played, I sucked but hey it ran just fine, way quieter and it was like a smooth ride!  So thanks y'all for all the advice. I've changed them before along with other parts but it's been ages. I guess once I stuck my hands into it, it came back to me. LOL

ok, not the power supply but it sounds like a power issue.  are you plugged into a surge protector? Maybe its going bad, has a bad cord, or maybe the outlet is messed up.  plug it in another outlet and see whats up  also did you get another power cord with the new power supply?  Maybe the cord is bad

First let me say I'm glad your up and running. I know how frustrating these little toys can be. My only disappointment is after doing all that work, cleaning, dusting, resetting parts, removing and replacing so many items, you can't really point to the one at fault? If it ever happens again you will be tempted to shotgun troubleshoot it as opposed to finding the exact issue. Happy gaming!

I used to clean my tower once a month. Not very much dust so I stopped doing it every month.

On the nice cooler days I like to have the windows open to air the house out. Then we had construction going on for about 4 months outside. After it was over I decided to clean my tower. Holy crap there were all these dusty tumble weeds in there LOL Now I am back to cleaning it once a month hahaha
