I have a dell Alienware x51 r2 system with a nividia GeForce 750ti video card and a 350w psu. I am wanting to upgrade to a 1050ti card and a 800w psu. I am not a pc genius, so any tips would be helpful, if I was to buy these products, would affect my motherboard in anyway? the reason I am doing this is because the current games I have , WW2 and PUBG lag very badly!

Hey ;)

You don't have to worry about your motherboard. That gives a GTX1050Ti enough power(75Watts) to run it. Beautiful thing of those are that there are versions that don't require a extra power connector to the GTX1050Ti. Especially when Dell has their own Powersupplies and those are odd. A NVidia GTX 1050Ti 4GB are great and enough to have you play games nicely. It's a great choice for the money.

Ps: If oyu buy a new one, I recommend you to buy it straight from the NVidia (partnership) website due to the prices. You might save a few bucks there instead of regular sites like Amazon. Just compare the prices and check out the warranty longer than one year. And do NOT buy second handed to the risk that those were Mining cards or the seller has prove of purchase and match the serial number. So be careful with second handed cards. Not worth the risk and save you 50 bucks or so.

Meh, those even work on PCIe Express 2.0. What I'd like to know what CPU (TDP) he has. The 350Watt seems low, but even when he got a 95Watt TDP CPU, plus a 75Watt GPU he is fine. Even applied with an extra PCIe cable to the GTX1050Ti = 95Watt + 75Watt+75Watt. I wonder if he has a mechanical drive or play games on a SSD. The GTX750Ti what he uses now, should not be lagging or stuttering. And the word "LAG" can be more than just performance or balance.

"small card", what exactly do you mean? Does it have to be a Low Profile card like 4 inches high or do you mean one slot instead of taking two slots spacing?

Like this?

If you go with the MSI gaming x card, be aware that that card uses  embedded profiles for overclocks, (default, gaming and silent), which requires additional software  to enable (MSI gaming app). Most of the other  Manufacture's cards are "adaptive", meaning they will automatically ramp up to your overclock settings when under load and return to lower clocks when idle (set in the Nvidia control panel)

My girlfriend has that one from Gigabyte before you edit your post. Its a great card and the fan does not run while idle. Only turn on when the 3D mode kicks in. So very power less consuming and a great card.

I have seen good reviews on it, I am just going to go ahead and do it, I need better gameplay, especially with pubg, I bought call of duty world war 2 , but I don't like to get on it because I don't have the powerful graphics card it needs or requires

Yeah, gotcha. Just know from GTX750Ti you notice it. With that nice 4GB onboard it is great. It is not a 6GB card like the 1060 6GB, 1070+ seriesm but it is not wise spend that amount of money with the prices so high. With the 1050Ti like that, you save money on your electric bill too ;)  You can just pull the bar all the way to the right with OC if you want. I just never do OC, because that 5/10FPS is not worth it and have lesser life in it.

If you plan to sell the GTX750Ti, get like 80 USD for it or something. Or clean it up and re-do paste and ask more. Let them pick it up :)

Good luck and show of your setup. It can bring ideas and more help to others. And one question, do you use a SSD? Know I am using one 500/400 SSD for my OS and one NVMe 256GB SSD for my favo games on that 1700/1300 drive.

Small form factor case. Not much bigger than an X-Box 360. You can put a full length video card in it But they recommend that you use a Reference type card with a Blower type exhaust fan. Otherwise you might to run into problems with overheating.  It should have 2 6 pin power connectors in the case.
