There last night I was randomly playing a game and got a Blue Screen of Death for "Memory Management" ( not the first one ofc ), this time it took about 2/3 mins for it to gather information till it to get to 100%.

Anyway after that I went to boot into my HDD it said "Unable to access boot device , press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to restart"

I tried again and same story , I have windows 7 build on my second drive so I booted that up and the SSD for windows 10 was showing but was unnaccesable so I instantly thought the SSD was damaged or simple finished. It wasnt until I went to put a windows 7 disc into the PC and do a install to see the status on the HDD's.

Turns out the SSD was completly wiped, like wtf? All that from a BSOD with Windows taking longer than usual gathering data for it. I wouldnt mind only a month or 2 beforehand one of the windows 10 updates completly deleted all the programs from my desktop like really?

At the end of the day I had a 240GB SSD for OS and 1 or 2 games so I didnt lose much , I have 3/4 HDD's for games etc but imagine having a 1TB or 2TB HDD fulll and it suddenly being wiped by Windows 10

Last night I installed a copy of Windows 7 on the SSD and it is working no problem. I am done with Windows 10 it has cost me may too many problems. I may just be one of the unlucky ones but what I have been through is unacceptable from an OS

WOW... I have seen some crazy problems with Windows 10. That would suck. I wonder if a data recovery software could recover any of the data.

I'm 7 too and it is the most stable system in the windows series, I am long since believing anything anyone says to me, and when Microsoft offered 7 users a free upgrade instinct told me they never give it free without a return, looks though I was right. Will be a sad day when no longer supported but I'm hoping something fills the void.

w7 is no longer supported. I went to microsoft website and downloaded the service pack 1. When I wiped my pc I tried the windows updates first and so far all the updates and the service pack 1 is still available. I don't think that is gonna last much longer. I ghosted my hard drive now so I won't have to worry about wiping it in the future.

If you buy a new Intel CPU Windows 7 won't be able to get any windows updates. Microsoft and Intel are working together to help push everyone to 10 on new Intel computers. One reason to choose AMD.

I am a huge fan of Windows 8.1 with the Windows 7 start menu , it disables at the shitty apps and such but Nvidia and Amd dont support graphic drivers anymore. It's basically a faster Windows 7

I hope they decide to support Windows 8.1 once the updates for windows 7 end in 2020

At least im not alone in that sense. It still surprises me that some businesses still use windows 10 considering all these problems exist.

I thought after microsoft lost a couple of law suits due to w10 they made a business copy without all that shit on it, including no updates choice.

If they didn't then I with you. why would any businesses go with w10.

Windows 10 October 2018 Update version 1809/17763.107

To avoid this bullshit from ever happening again in the future?  Change your Branch Readiness Level  From  the default (Semi-Annual-Channel-TARGETED)  to  (Semi-Annual-Channel)

Keeping the Default (Semi-Annual-Channel-Targeted) is basically telling Microsoft that you agree to BETA TEST the latest updates.  If set to (Semi-Annual-Channel) the updates that you get will be fully tested and ready for Widespread use.

What MS needs is a world wide law suit against them. MS raped millions of computers without permission and almost everyone excepted it. When they did that I called it an act of war because MS did this on foreign soil to every country world wide. I believe it was the EU who told MS to remove all the spyware from the EU version or they would take them to court. The figure that was quoted would have hurt MS. I was praying that it was going to happen but it didn't.

The arrogance of adding all the spyware into software and forced at first into every personal/business computer world wide. MS had a copy of every hard drive in everyone's computer of anyone who had it in their computer at first. Yet all the people who said they trusted MS and w10?? LOL

It cost them millions of dollars in business law suits ( which did not hurt them ) at first because of the forced update for anyone who did not have windows update turned off. Forcing anyone for any reason is so incredibly wrong on so many moral levels.

So many corporations went to Linux because of the spyware. One corporation ( in the home country of MS,  the USA LOL ) actually told everyone in the work place to turn their computers off and go home so they could change them all to Linux.

It took a while for some coders to figure out how to disable some the shit in w10 but it still has shit in there. It is not 100% and never will be.

w10 will never be allowed around me ever. I do not trust MS and never will. It won't be long before Linux has the same options as windows. Hopefully MS loses everyone and goes bankrupt. I know I know wishful thinking.

Same here. I added a Global Rule to stop them in Win 10 Pro. Now I do updates when I want to.. never.
