My initial issues in BF4 of weapons cycling and firing by themselves has been corrected, but I cannot use my joystick to fly in BF4.  Any suggestions on how to fix this or change joysticks??  I have discussed the issue with Logitech and I even bought another one since they said mine was bad, except when I plugged in the new one, I still could not fly.  Returning the new one.

I appreciate any help I can get on this.

Many thanks

I am sure you don't want to hear what I am saying. But if you already have contact with Logitech(support), I would knock on their door again. Maybe the drivers needs to be updated or maybe you use Windows 10 that is bugging up? Check out the BF forums as I don't know if anyone is able to help you here. All I know is that Logitech support/RMA is one of the best.

@Damit1 as far as I can remember has a great deal of experience with the Logitech joy sticks.

Maybe do a search of his posts. I think he made a post regarding this issue over a year ago

OMG there still selling the Extreme 3d Pro? That thing came out back in the pre SP1 Windows XP days.

If I remember correctly the top Hat switches and buttons near the mini joystick on top did not like to work on 64 bit windows unless you uninstall the Logitech drivers and just use the windows drivers.

Logitech drivers never did work 100% with that joystick.  If I could get the hat switches to work the throttle wouldn't work. Get the throttle would work the damn left/right roll would stop working. Get that working then the elevation control would go haywire.  And it had a calibration problem ever since my cat decided to knock it off of my desk lol.     I tossed mine in the garbage about the time Windows Vista came out because I couldn't get 1/2 of it working.

hey guys i think i found a fix, or at least it solved my issue with bringing up that battlelog menu etc. in game that is hardcoded.

1.) go to the test range and jump in your vehicle of choice to test it out.

2.) the fix was when in game go to the options menu and navigate to the "Gameplay" tab

3.) go down to the "battlelog In-Game" setting and toggle this to hide , this will turn off bringing up the menu when the hardcoded button is pressed

4.) enjoy the game! let me know if this fixed the issue for you as well. good luck i hope this works for you as well!

Thank you for all the replies. First of all, I do not agree with the comment about Logitech customer service being one of the best.  I talked to them for a period of over 1 week.  After all the fixes they recommended they finally said I needed to buy a new one.  I did, and when I plugged in the new one, it also did not work.  When I asked for return and refund instructions they came back that they did not show my order number. I bought it Nov. 22.  So I had to scan the order and send it to them.  Still waiting for the reply.  As far as Damit, he is the reason I joined XI, because he set my joystick up almost 3 years ago and it worked fine until now.  Will try the battlelog fix to see what happens and I will inform.

Since I love to fly, any suggestions for an alternate joystick that will work??

Thanks again for all the suggestions.

Ok guys.  I tried all the different suggestions, like the battlelog Hide, uninstalling Logitech software and use windows drivers, and still was not able to fly properly.  Only thing I noticed, is that when I go back to the logitech software and do the test and calibration of the joystick, once finished, I cannot apply the settings.  Therefore, I think that my only solution is to get a different joystick since I suck using the mouse and keyboard to fly.

If anyone else has any other suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks for all the replies.

I still have issues with the joystick.  I have given up on the Logitech, and I reluctantly bought a Thrustmaster 16000M against a lot of folks advising that I shouldn't.  Well, I still cannot configure the damn thing and it is driving me crazy.  I still play BF4, of course without flying.  Still hoping someone out there can help me set this thing up.

That is why I am an idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and proud of it.

I have contacted Damit but I have not heard from him.  He helped me in the beginning to set up my Logitech and it worked very well but when it went bad, nothing has been able to get it working.

I have tried all the suggestions and unfortunately none have worked.

Will keep trying though.

Thanks for all the comments.

@papithegun I have here a brand new one in a box. I thought I got rid of it, but it was sitting on highest closet in my kitchen. I remember that I used it once and I put it away. We could meet up when you have time on Teamspeak, this weekend or something or, whenever you have time. The thing is back wrapped up and can make a picture of it this week if you want.

I appreciate the offer, but I actually bought a new one and when I tried it, it did the same thing as the old one, so I returned it to Logitech and got my money back.  That is when I bought the Thrustmaster which I have not been able to configure.  It takes a PHD in computing to configure it, so I guess I am just an IDIOT!!!!!!!!

So, what is exactly the problem that I can try? I got it anyways, so why not use it. If I crash (, for sure for 99999,9999999%) I don't blame you ;)
