Hello fellow Idiots, here I bring you a simple instructional on how to enhance your computer's performance & health.  These are things I, myself do; I find them great, safe & simple.  As a disclaimer: Use at your own risk.

1. LET'S CLEAN THE CRAP FROM YOUR COMPUTER & OPTIMIZE

    I.   To that end, download the free program CCLEANER.  If this isn't something you do regularly, you may be surprised by the amount of junk it finds and clears: https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download/standard

    II.  Install CCLEANER

   III.  Run CCLEANER

   IV. Click 'Anaylyze'

    V. Click 'Clean'

VI. Find the menu on the left & click 'registry'.  This will fix irrelevant entries no longer needed.

  VII. Click scan for issues

VIII. Click 'Fix Selected Issues'....Click 'scan' & 'fix' again until it returns no issues. (Registries are like branching trees, requiring several passes to prune all the obsolete branches)

2. TIME TO OPTIMIZE YOUR COMPUTER SO IT RUNS MORE EFFICIENTLY

     I. DOWNLOAD ADVANCED SYSTEM CARE  This program is an all-in-one computer optimization program.  Other discrete programs may do an individual job better, but this tool has something for eveyone. https://bit.ly/2Qh4w02

   II. INSTALL THE PROGRAM

  III. RUN THE PROGRAM

IV. FROM THE TOP MENU, CLICK 'CLEAN & OPTIMIZE'

   V.  CHECK THE 'SELECT ALL' BOX

  VI.  CLICK 'SCAN'

 VII.  CLICK 'FIX'

VIII.  FROM THE TOP MENU, SELECT 'SPEED UP'

  IX.  CLICK 'DEEP OPTIMIZATION'

   X.  AS A BONUS, WHEN YOU ARE READY TO GAME, ENABLE THE 'TURBO BOOST' OPTION ON THE LEFT TO FREE UP RAM & CPU RESOURCES.  YOU CAN TURN IT OFF AGAIN WHEN FINISHED GAMNG

3. YOU CAN DOWNLOAD SPECCY TO VIEW YOUR SYSTEM'S MAIN COMPONENTS, THEIR MANUFACTURERS, OPERATING TEMPS, ETC.: https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy

4. UPDATE YOUR GRAPHICS DRIVERS:

     I.  AMD:  https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh-016  OR  https://www.amd.com/en/support

    II. NVIDIA: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=en-us

See if that doesn't help, post a reply about how it did for you.  Will post more tips in the future.

Very nice write up and very good advice @Timmah!

Alternately:

    Step 1) Get a Mac

(There is no Step 2)

Nicely documented @Timmah!

Small detail is that you have to uncheck their CCleaner Monitor system. And the 'Startup' section is very nice to unmark (all these three tabs in) them that you don't need. Add some MS Visual with it and DX-Websetup up and all Motherboards Drivers with the latest BIOS and some Idiots, and you are fine :)

Monitoring is forced in newer versions of CCleaner. Meaning it will still run even after you tell it not to unless you install an older version.

https://www.howtogeek.com/361112/heres-what-you-should-use-instead-of-ccleaner/

A HUGE issue with CCleaner version 5.33.

https://www.howtogeek.com/326742/ccleaner-was-hacked-what-you-need-to-know/

And Piriform which makes CCleaner was bought out by that SHIT Antivirus company AVAST. Which is known for Loading there software to the hilt with Bloatware. AVAST antivirus Free edition has 15 yes 15 different scanners in it that constantly monitor and run in the background. And that's not including the actual antivirus software which monitors and scans automatically.

CCleaner- Options - Monitoring? It is still there and the startup section for that.

to add  step 3)   when using a cannned air or compressor to blow out the dust from case  and fans  NOTE: never spin a  fan with air  for that fan becomes a generator an will send more voltage than  to motherboard it can handle and damaged it,  just hold  fan from turning  when doing so  on  CPU cooler or any other fan  or unplug it

Good advice. It's amazing what that little CCleaner program does. Really helps clean up files form Browsers, Temp folder and other crap like Thumbnails from all that Porn @TBB looks at.

Nice Timmah

Other essentials for me is CPUID HWMonitor for tracking temps and volts for your whole PC : https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

And MSI Afterburner for GPU fan settings, you can configure fan speeds if your GPU reaches a certain temperature : https://www.msi.com/page/afterburner

Recuva is another handy tool if you accidently deleted a file from your hardrive , it will try its best to recover the file. It's also made from the same company as CCleaner : https://www.ccleaner.com/recuva

Please to add, This program called: Core Temp and download the portable version and let it run when Windows is starting.

Having a second screen or a single one, you always see the temps and what Max hit of Celc. it did. Amazing and a lovely program, just like CPU-Z to check things out. With Core Temp you can have gadgets too to have all monitoring at your screen(s).

Plus never let @TBB stick his thumb drive in your PC or his thumb up your butt. Both will all the sudden become addicted to porn.
