I really need someones help right now.  Forget about the joystick.

I normally play 3 games regularly:  BF4, Sniper Elite 4 and World of Warships.

All of a sudden when I am playing either BF4 or Sniper Elite,  both games just CRASH!!!!!!  It started with Sniper and now BF4 is the same.  Is this a video card issue or computer issue?

Any help on this will be extremely welcomed and appreciated.

Go to the Motherboard website. Check and download anything from what is there to download. Also, check if there is a new BIOS update for your Motherboard. Need help, DM me and meet up.

When all updates are done in Windows, check also MS Visual Studio's 2010+ and x86 and x64 and dxweb setup stuffs. And .NET.

Clean up all TEMP folders at Windows/temp and AppData folder (I copy the folder and name it "Temp1" and clean delete the real one Temp). Also,

Google, how to Register to clean up the Pagefile. Mine is in the attachment and that is what I used for my Windows 7 64 machine. Google for Windows 10 and see if that 'homework' works for you ;)

Edit: Oh yes, once you ran the REG files, reboot system and you will notice that reboot take a bi t now. That is why the NO one comes in to disable that.

Check to see if there are any errors in the event viewer.

Yw, having time to some games and crashes is not fun. Be sure your BIOS is up to date, reset and load up your XMP for your RAM and AHCI again.  And @Tw33tle_Deeis right, sometimes you see if you filter your eventvwr, thing under the hood of what can be wrong. I have one OS drive that I can run for a day after getting it out of sleep, I have to reboot and or it locks up. I just can't wipe it because there is a lot of tools on there. Just didn't make time to fix that over 3 years old OS that is a slut and have been hanging into a lot of machine to test out. So hardware drivers has mixed up.

And no, I am not going to relate that with your joystick issue. Those crashes are minor, of that one drive ;)

Good info from the above.

Maybe think of anything that's changed lately.  Definitely update all that you can. I went in my computer manufactur website the other day and found a few updates. Chip bios, USB, ect..

Also,  I know my windows updates a week or two ago. Also I've had a few nvidia updates lately as well.

You may try roll back to a previous save point. Then go through all your updates. Obviously save anything to disk you may have been working on before rolling it back.

Lol.. maybe... a lot of things. Without anyone sitting in front of it, kind of hard to say what.

I think I would start with event viewer like @Tw33tle_Dee stated before. Start the game, let it crash. Upload logs to post or PM them to a XI member you trust. Then go from there.

To generate these logs, please follow the steps listed below:

  1. Open "Event Viewer" by right clicking the "Start" button.
  2. Click "Event Viewer".
  3. Click to expand "Windows Logs" in the left pane, and then select "Application".
  4. Click the "Action" menu and select "Save All Events As".
  5. Name the file "eventviewer.evtx" and click the "Save" button.
  6. Click the "OK" button if you see a "Display Information" dialog.
  7. You're done..  Send file your preferred method..

May change depending on OS.

Added YouTube link to maybe lead you in the right direction...

XRai.  Thanks for all the information.  I am traveling for the next 10 days, and as soon as I get back I will do the fixes to see if I can get the games going again.

I really appreciate it

None of the games he plays uses  punkbuster.

BF4: uses Dice

Sniper Elite 4 uses:  VAC

World of Warships uses:  VAC

Odds are the drivers on your video card have been switched out by a microsoft update same thing happen to me multi times already....Device manager/Display adapters/right click/ properties/left click events tab---check date of event---If it is a recent date go to the driver tab gather info such as driver version then go directly to the manufactors website download and install the correct update

Hope that helps !
