Hi guys and gals.

As a prelude to some additional 147 testing, and after some discussions, the rotation speed of all stealth-UAV vehicles has been increased to %200 to see how it affects gameplay. The thought was to make them harder to hit and shoot down. It also does make it a bit harder to target on the reaper since your look-at is moving faster. So a trade off. Harder to make a kill, but harder to kill you. %200 might be too much but we shall see what happens.

Will take effect on next server restart.

It did make them move faster @Sammy but, in  my opinion, they are not harder to hit at all.  The main result seems to be that the Reaper is too difficult to use now and might as well be removed and the Defrost UAV seems to go away very fast even if it isn't shot.  It's a shame about the Reaper because not too many people could use it properly before so it was actually a "Reward" for those that could.

The timer for the defroster is unchanged at 30 seconds. Perhaps tomorrow I can get a look at the speed on the server and see how it plays out in the game.

Ok, after seeing a few defrosters in action here is my opinion. First one bit of info. There is an old problem where a few bullet weapons are doing twice as much damage as they should be. That is being fixed. Also, short range bullet weapons are hitting it. Which is silly to say the least. Strictly speaking, in the stock games long range air based streaks are only destroyed by missiles and rockets. So destroying them by bullet weapons doesnt make sense anyways but its always been there. The faster speed does seem to make it harder to target. However there is a more important benefit. The faster speed allows it to make a full circle of the map not just 1/2.

I havent yet seen enough of the reaper to make a judgement.

I played earlier today, was unaware of the change of speed at the time. However,  did feel it was moving faster. Didn't seem harder to hit enemy uavs. But was fast enough to be out of range sense I had a building next to me. I dont use reapers, so cannot comment on that. I used a few defroster uavs, but again. Was unaware of any changes. So was not paying attention on how quickly they was shot down. 

When I play tomorrow I'll see what changes I notice.

i used a reaper moved faster but i had no problem killing people..great work @Sammy thnx for the cod4 love :cat:

Sammy,

Did I miss the part where the AGM has twice as many missiles as before?  It seems not only faster and harder to kill but it definitely has possibly too much firepower now.

Ooops. Checked to be sure. Supposed to be 8 by default but yea there was an error that the faster rotation time changed. Fixed it and will take effect on next server restart with the default of 8 rounds.

 

BAH! I hate it when I do shit like that. ?
