Im building a new PC soon and I am going with the AMD Ryzen 2700x or I might wait for the 3700x.  I can't decide on wight case and motherboard to buy.  I have already bought the Nvidia 2070 and a EVGA 850 Super Nova psu.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Wait for the 7nm Ryzen 2 cpu's ,when these chips come out you can decide to buy the newest one or go for a 2700x for a much lower price .

When u go for a 8c/16t or more you should at least take a X*** mobo because of the better vrm's ,imho is a Asrock X470 taichi a good buy .

A verry good case is the Fractal design R6 ,it has plenty of space ,its silent ,and suberb for watercooling .

On that point i am in the same position ,should i go for the 2600 or wait for the new one ? ,but that's for my seccond rig wich is being used for lan-party's .

My main rig is still with the 1700x OC @ 4GHz ,and in combination with a GTX1060 6G it works fine for me .

Die hard Gigabyte fan when it comes to motherboards.  Better caps than most.  Wish DFI would enter the consumer motherboard arena again.  The LanParty series were unstoppable !!!  The first overclocking friendly board.  Now they just make "Industrial" boards.

the 2700X 8/16 is a bit over kill for gamming so wait till Ryzen 3700X 12/24 %50 more or buy intel with its security problems at the silicon level we know intel fans do not care and nether does intel ;)

Hi there!

I will not go about tell you what you should buy and put in the box (CPU and  or GFX card) although Intel/Nvidia is my personal preference...BUT, I can tell you that if you buy a great case, and a powerful/well built PSU, this is like getting a better foundation for a new building. I recommend a full ATX case which is solid in construction.

The PSU you picked seems to be a top dog, so congrats....for the GFX card, well I'm jelly. Got a 1070 here, still fits the bill nicely for my needs.

I got an older Coolermaster ATCS all aluminum full ATX and a XFX 850 watts 80+ silver(a Seasonic silver that I have kept along with 3 builds.......

As for my recommendation for mobos...I always been an ASUS fan, but I got issues, so I'm rocking an MSI mobo since...holding the overclock quite nicely.

EVGA used to be the holy grail of GFX cards vendors, but since they killed the lifetime warranty, its not as important....but EVGA used to give you an upgrade when you RMA a defective card....nice.

Getting ready to build.  Going with the AMD 1950X Threadripper, and a 2070 GPU.  Still looking at boards, but leaning towards Gigabyte X399 Gaming 7 or maybe the X399  Xtreme TR4.

Yeah, not too many games will take advantage of the cores.  But I do other cpu intensive stuff.  Plus when I upgrade I use it for years.  I usually upgrade GPU's before a new build, but didnt this round.  Hell my CPU came out in October of 2012 and I think I built this pc in May of 2013.   So its 6 years old.   And my GPU is from 2013 also a Nvidia GTX-660ti.  So Im due :)

I have yet to find the need to replace my I7-4770K @4.0GHz, but I agree that those Ryzens are looking very good!
