I just wanted to see if I was in the minority or the majority here?  I think it's time to make a few mod changes to better the experience of our members and guests. I am not complaining I love both servers and I have a great time I just think some simple tweaks will keep thing fresh and more fun. I am not sure how the clan handles things like this maybe a vote? I have no idea. Anyway I can help please let me know. 

 

Here are my recommendations: 

COD4 Freeze Tag 2 :

  •  Car should only be able to thaw or explored to kill not both 
  • Change the weapons to be a little more evenly matched 95% uses the 308 because it is by far the best weapon. 
  • Grenade Launchers reduce the amount down to 1 or keep the 2 but remove their throwing grenades  
  • Combat medic invisible time should be reduced by 2 seconds ( right now on some of our smaller maps they can make it all the way behind your spawn before you even get moving. 
  • The Jumping is out of control, I think the fact that if people are hopping around you can waste an entire click and not hit them once is not good. Maybe we force the gun down when they jump?  

 COD 1 Freeze Tag ( sorry Sally) 

  • The P90 is out of control  you can snipe with it from 100 yards
    • Lets just balance them out a little better 
  • Maybe add EMPS

They can be found in your server browser, just look for the one’s with no players.

it aint bitch it just suggestion to make it more fun .. maybe make people over all more hapy and not rage quit then have the  server drop from 26 people to 6 . I like to see a little delay between tube  shots . maybe  slight delay in hoping .like to see some kinda defence  to work and not have stealth just run past everything..stealth fine for turrets and helis but should trigger clays and mines.  just my opinion.

FUCK THAT!  Go sit on a bouncing betty you campy beech.  This mofo puts gaymores down and camps on top of or behind something with the ACR and expects stealth not to work for gaymores and betties. Hell to the NO lol.

 

I suggest that Claymores and Betties ONLY be available with the Sniper class. Either that or move the bettys and claymores to the Middle perks with Hardline. So bettys will no longer count as 1 of the 2 kills needed with Hardline to get a RC car since you won't be able to choose both at the same time. 

 

Increase kill-streak amount needed to get an RC car by 2. Put it on the same level as the predator missile. Both are capable of getting multiple kills with 1 explosion and the RC car has the ability to thaw.

Currently you can get an RC car, go blow someone up and use the spawn protection and sneak up on someone and get 2 more kills and turn into a predator and use that spawn protection to get into the enemy spawn and spawn camp. With 4 kills you can literally get in the enemy spawn without being visible for more than a couple seconds on Any map. Raising the kills needed to turn into an RC car will balance that out very perfectly.

lol camp some time I have the most  travelled . lol in real life u don't have stealth to run past mines and clay lol . it was just a suggestion to make it more real. jester just made cus he can lay down fast enuff to avoid mines.  remember when u see my mine it has a heart painted on cus I love you ...lol

Well........

I think I posted this all elsewhere.

The car divided into two. Explosive OR defroster. Both at 3 kills. In line with the uav and sentry. And since the defroster car is essentially defenseless it is quieter and more health.  So you have a choice. Get your kill but you wont help your team. This isnt a new idea of course and has been talked about for awhile.

Stealth reworked vs betties etc. If you walk, it wont see you. If you run then its detection range is cut to 1/2 but you arent immune. And just to remind people currently if you have stealth, but fire an unsilenced weapon, sentries and helis will see you for a few seconds.

The current Saritch *IS* a little bugged in a couple circumstances due to an error on my part that I didnt know about.

Player damage changed a little. Shots to hands/feet are ignored. Lower arms/legs 1/2. However headshots and the neck are automatic kills armor or not regardless of weapon.

Care Package removed to allow room for different streaks and its a bit redundant. Instead the Strike Package dropped down to 5 kills.

Due to popular demand I made up an airstrike defroster (no damage just friendly defrosts). Same kill requirement as the B2.

Combat Medic is admittedly problematic due to different map sizes. Also the mentioned 'post-streak' one. The reason for the post streak protection is to go with the default setting of you standing there with the pad (BO and all the others) and vulnerable while using it. That doesnt apply here of course.

*IF* everybody thinks its a real problem I am open to ideas on doing a different approach to the extra perk spawn protection. I tried a method where the final two seconds you are seen, without a raised weapon, but you cannot be damaged. Of course those that are obsessed with that perk hated it.

Posted a vid. SAMs will shoot down packages if close enough and if its at a good angle. A couple additional things it will go after if the circumstances are right.

As for jumping, I didnt mess with that because its up to the clan whether or not to reset jumping to the game default (the old 'way it was meant to be played' arguments) that slows you down on the second jump. Currently it doesnt due to server settings. Again, if this is a real problem you could do something where you dont change hopping but maybe lower the accuracy a bit. 

And as for why I spend time now and then still working on this, I enjoy the problem solving and the challenge.

For the spawn camper thing, which might make the whole combat medic issue moot, just occured to me that it might be possible to make up some kind of 'warning' for your spawn area. If an enemy makes a kill inside of a certain radius of spawn you will see a printed message like you would for incoming airstrikes. "Enemy in your spawn area" or something like that. But again only if that enemy makes a kill. So if you want to hide out in their spawn area and do nothing but defrost there wont be a warning. Spawn camping is permitted, per the rules, but a little heads-up wont hurt.

Anything that changes the speed/nature of the game is a no-no for me - that means the general physics (i.e. jumping).  I'm also someone that enjoys Combat Medic as-is.  If you are going to change jumping specifically to address hit-box issues when someone is jumping, fine, but don't make the game slower for those of us who want to play it faster.  Is there a way to compensate for the fact that jumping essentially gives you unlimited sprint?

Maybe if you are considering making jumping slowing you down, we don't put a limit on sprinting?

I don't see the speed or the jumping ever changing on this server, I can't wait for the new mod to come out and hear all about how things are fucked up for each person,  but really they are a lot better for the over all gameplay of the server. 

 

Great job Sammy! Thank you for putting your time and effort into this mod and server we all really appreciate it even though all you hear about most of the time is the bad things from people.

Years ago for another clan that will remain nameless,  I handled all the server and mod changes so I feel for you. I was not complaining! I recommended some minor changes that I hear people complain and whine about. It's funny the people that complain the most are then ones talking shit! #Ragequitingspecialist.  I just want to help out and when I see people complaining then leaving the server it bugs me.  Thank you if you provided gave feedback, and FU to the rest.

never change a winning thing  keep the mw2 server as it is that is the whole reason people  play there in the first place  i have been on other freezetag servers  that have those changes is some degree  the ts is talking about  and yeah they are all empty  or 6 vs 6   with their own clan members.   there is a reason why our server is that populated still    people just like our mod the way it is   and there is not one server that is better out there anymore.

 

and yeah in a game people are frustrated  and rq that is just the way it is  some take it wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too serious
