There has been a lot of discussions lately about the COD4 MW2 mod, lets just list off what we like and don't like about it here. There is a large update coming out soon that will hopefully address a lot of the concerns that have been brought up before. 

What I don't like about the current mod, or would like to see in the mod

RC car can kill and defrost

I would like the weapons more balanced so everyone isn't using the same gun

I would like to have it so you can only have 1 of each streak in your inventory

I would like the mod to have the ability to set every ones player config the same, everyone has the same max packets, max fps, same foliage settings etc, so like PB use to do just with out the PB issues

I would like to see every time someone whines about getting shot, they are turned into a toilet and can't move

I would like to see the mod compatible with more maps, obviously this isn't an easy thing to do with the more things we add to the mod. 

 

 

What I like about the mod

Well I love the mod and many features about it, but the highlights are these

The defrosting works great, the speed at which you defrost I think is perfect

EMPs work great for my gameplay

I think the tube damage is spot on now, compared to what it was in the past

I like the hit registration but I think this has a huge part to do with lag between players, high pings vs low pings.

I think this will help a lot with people so thy can't cry when people get killed but over all it seems to be fine

I like almost everything in the game,  except a few things.

- Sniperrifles are terrible in accurancy 

- RC XD should only defrost, not kill

- As soon as a person dies, it should drop the ammo he had left (as before)

- Maybe (just maybe) the flakjackets a bit overpowered?

- there is something off with the hitregistration, when jumpers are being shot it does not hit them. Same goes with shooting someone in the back.

I'm all for the same scripts being forced for everyone, well up for that one!
The only thing I have been having trouble with vast amounts of people using the same gun and the Saritch being over powered in terms of next to no recoil and such high accuracy. Who needs snipers when you have that! I'd complain about the tubes but hell, I use them too so if you can't beat them, join them. I'm not sure if anyone else is getting this problem but my frame rate is all over the place. Ping is fine, connection if fine but I get a lot of frame drop on the server

Only dislike 1 thing about the mod, and that´s tubes but i don´t see them being removed any time soon so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Never used them and never will :P.

I do think that changing the RC and the Saritch would bring more variety to the game. People would pick different perks, killstreaks and different weapons and that makes the game more unpredictable. >90% of the people use the Saritch now. 

Just wanted to share. Love the mod and the players.

Who said sniping was easy?

Please DO not touch rifles..

 

P.s..I would like C4 to stick to team mates , the way it STICKS on everything else..I want to send Rugger , Crack or even IceQueen into enemy spawn  and  watch them blow everybody..

If i use the sniperrifle, and i aim and according to my + and i shoot i fully miss. So do not tell me the accurancy is perfect with the sniperrifles because they are not! ?‍♀️?

If I could change one thing it would be to either make my hits register while the enemy is bunny hopping all over the place (PINK), OR, eliminate the bunny hopping.  One server I played a long time ago took your weapon away while hopping around.

I heard a rumor that a change was coming to the RC-XD so they would EITHER defrost or explode but not both. You chose the behavior in game setup.  Any truth to that rumor?

Lets get fix the anomalies of the saritch and other items.  I think most of the mod is good, if we are able to fix any other 'issues' that would be great.

I can snipe a betty across the map , or any fkers  bunny hopping on the fly..Just ask around.. Wait for them to jump..aim where they gonna land..Easy shot..

I would love there to be friendly fire, so I can cap someone on the same team camping a doorway or stairs, blocking their own teammates from getting thru.  My biggest pet peeve(s) though are: people that don't tell you there's an enemy or betty/claymore by them when you come to defrost; so as a reward for helping that teammate, you die....and if you manage to get an emp off and defrost them anyway, they don't even bother to come back and defrost you, even though they got you killed..... or some people that habitually refuse to move to defrost teammates that are in the same building or otherwise in close proximity.  But that'd be opening a whole can of worms...so....

Leave the initial spawn protection and extended spawn protection that Combat Medic gives you alone BUT Remove Spawn protection from ALL Kill Streaks. In other words set it back to Default.  It will cut down on the RC car spamming and alot of other crap. Including using a kill streak to turn invisible in the middle of a fire fight just to get in behind the enemy and shoot them in the back. That shit is Soooo damn annoying. And setting it back to Default will get rid of a all lag associated with people turning invisible and alot of unnecessary respawning which is also causing instability issues. It may even help with map compatibility to a certain extent.

 I would like to have it so you can only have 1 of each streak in your inventory   Guessing you get lots of RC Cars as well? lol 

If spawn protection was removed from All Kill streaks (Especially The ability to magically turn invisible rite in the middle of a fire fight)  It will balance everything back out. The Default settings are set to Disable Spawn protection for kill streaks for a reason. IMO It should of never been enabled in the 1st place.

You can do pretty much anything with B3 bot and a couple plugins. But as you know our current Server Host doesn't allow the use of any plugins unless you can contact them and get them to change there minds? 

You can run all sorts of cool plugins with B3 bot. Want to slap an AFK player to make sure they are AFK before kicking them? No Problem. Want to set fire to Chile for blowing you up with C4? No problem.  Want to put targets on Campers?  No problem.

Yes. It is to be that kind of option or others suggested the kill requirement be bumped up to 5. Broken up, both would require 3 kills. So you choose one or the other in the loadout. Obviously one is meant to get you a cheap kill (IMO) and the other for the team. However that is a WIP so if offsetting requirements so you can choose both (3 kills for defroster, 4 for the exploder) sounds like a better idea that can be explored as well.

Not sure what you mean about instability issues with all the respawning. Or a relationship between turning invisible and lag. Forcing settings is problematic. For one you would have to disable the console (many servers do) to prevent manually changing anything. However that doesnt do anything about people using key or mouse binds.

The intention, including the various fixes and balance issues, is to focus it further as a dedicated freezetag mod. Not simply TDM with the freezing part as an afterthought.

Hmm...with our Rust server, I currently have 20 plugins running... so it's probably not the server provider?  But then again, there is a dedicated mod called Oxide/Umod that is the platform upon which these plugins are created...it's a multi-game/universal platform, so maybe it would be compatible & allow import/export of the basic architecture of a plugin?... or with a few tweaks could be accommodated.... Haven't looked into what would be required to make the Umod platform & our MW2 mod compatible...it's an option, though?

This by far would have the most impact on making the server a better place for everyone.

Nothing knocks the fun out of the game for me more having to listen to asshats calling everyone a hacker/lagger every time they get shot. Especially when they get on the website and admit to messing with their settings to deliberately lag. There is a huge difference between the normal banter on the server, people putting shit on each other, and the consistent bitching of some players repeating the same shit every single time they play.I don't understand why they even bother playing.

I think the mod overall is good, better than it has ever been. Don't mess with it too much.

I made a post about that someplace. Also some vids of things like SAMs taking down care packages (better not ignore the launchers when placed, destroy them). Other fun things. Whether anything is too much is a matter of perspective and if there are any sacred cows. Moooo...argh!

 in perk 2   to exist  stealth ( so I will not die to claymore the weapon of Cowards )   

                                          and in perk 3  eavesdrop  (so I will not die to  to RC other weapon of Cowards)  

over 2 years this can not be achieved  ... stealth and  eavesdrop    they are in the same class perk       perk 3

I am in favor of an up-armored "medic" RCXD separate from the more flimsy RCXD driving around with an exposed bomb on it, that should blow up if it even bumps into something, probably.

I am in HUGE favor of bringing back the DOUBLE BARRELED SHOTGUN!  That was the best weapon in any version of this mod.

I am, of course, 100% on board with anything that let's us set up standard configuration/settings for all players.

I like to see stealth not block mechanical items like clay and mines . it take out defense totally.flak jacket can take to tubes and survive alittle to strong. tube should have alonger reload time.   big one not sure if can be fixed when spawning out protection u can shoot right away.other then that I love it . like to see a new nuke slash game changer. a nuke that could defrost  .

Tried something to mitigate the insta-raise out of spawn protection to a tolerable level. Some people didnt like it... because they couldnt insta-raise. Most people dont do it however. I suppose one thing to do is to take out the clock as well as the ability to cancel spawn protection early.

And yes Stealth will work differently vs mines. There will be a B2 strike version of a defroster.
