A friend of mine uses the MAG 410 and says he likes it; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VREDOoct4n0

I use this one and I love it: https://nitro-iptv.com/dreamlink-t2

I would go with the Beelink then. Excellent box with latest hardware and OS, around $120.

for Kodi i use Diggz repo, i can watch nearly every channel you lot have in  here in the UK,plus UK tv,you could just cheat and use a mobile that throws to your tv[ if  you have tv that does it],have kodi on mobile[cell you lot call it] PC +laptops..For some reason found android boxes slow down once you add a repos to it[ even cleaned and refreshed and new kodi ] so gave up buyng them....mind you prob my fault as left them on 24/7

These boxes basically only look like streamers for nas and tv. Maybe some web browsing. Is that right? I could use something like this but have some requirements that, I think, could only be done by a nuc or one of the competitors. They are a bit on the pricey side of course.

I use a retropie for streaming.  Don't have any issues other than what would be expected with a free streaming service.

These two YouTube Channels have pretty good Android Box reviews.  I think the landscape is changing frequently enough to where you just have to keep your ear to the ground and buy what's good at whatever point in time you're ready.  Oh, and perhaps this is unwanted advice, but please do not engage in theft of copyrighted work.  These boxes seem to have a subculture of using apps to get "free" TV and movies, but they are not free.
