Having travelled on many trains around the world it seems to me that in the uk we have unique problems, remembering we live in a temperate climate the following are reasons given in recent years for trains not running :-

wrong type of leaves on the line

wrong type of snow

sun in the drivers eyes

too cold/wet/hot

Today the too hot has been rolled out, how do you run your trains, could you tell our lot please??

Well in South Africa there isn't enough trains. So if the trains are late then they burn down the trains. Next day its later because there is even less. Then they strike/protest. It happens every month. The Whole Soweto and other squatter camps has illegal electrical connections to their homes, when council disconnects it then they protest and burn down schools and police stations. Daily thing here.

Well, I don't travel by train a lot, but as long as I can remember there never was a day that I would need to travel and trains did not work, seems pretty chill and comfortable overall, no nonsense excuses :D I live in Lithuania btw

Can't we all just get the 'frick along?

What's with all this hatred?

Every country is either trying to defend itself from attack, or trying to find a way to kill more people!!

Doesn't make any sense.

We're all humans, we should love and prosper.

Can't understand all the hatred in the world . . .

Well this went off topic but I will just say that there has always been a lot of hatred in the world like this. But welcome to the global information age where if something happens 1/2 way around the world you know about it quick.

As for trains, the only train I ever liked to use was this.

In Sydney, we got an automated train, it regularly misses the platform doors

It says it is at a station it is not at

It says it is opening the doors in transit

And it closes the doors on people without notice

I laughed at all the flights cancelled and delayed because of the heat, do we only fly to Iceland? and if we fly to hot countries how do we fly back?? Do Canadian railroads fail with their temperature extremes??
