Literally millions of jobs available in the Great U.S. of A., bud.

Hopefully, we can "Make America Great Again" by changing the sitting President in 2020 . . .

(Yoda):  "Hmm?"

Wish we had him, says it and does it, definitely not a professional politician

Having travelled on many trains around the world it seems to me that in the uk we have unique problems, remembering we live in a temperate climate the following are reasons given in recent years for trains not running :-

wrong type of leaves on the line

wrong type of snow

sun in the drivers eyes

too cold/wet/hot

Today the too hot has been rolled out, how do you run your trains, could you tell our lot please??

Just be happy that you live in a place that has fairly reliable trains. Having traveled all over Europe, I'm impressed with the modes of transportation available. We have nothing even close.

Hope you got your Senior Railcard - a third off all fares - mine arrived on Tuesday so just trying to decide where to go now.

The problem is not so much with the trains themselves but the infrastructure which was built with 19th Century climate in mind.  Now it is not unusual for temperatures to exceed 30 degrees C and the rails are 20 degrees hotter, it would be necessary to pull up all the rails and replace them so expansion would no longer be an issue.

Here's our local railway, not connected to the National Rail system....  https://www.rhdr.org.uk/

Not true me old son, the system has been rebuilt many times, especially on the east coast ( line, not the baldy admin ), other countries manage fine in Europe.

That's not even electrified yet!

The best bit of line is HS1 - you know the track that was to turn the streets of coastal Kent into gold...  Guess what?  The money went the other way and the Tories still haven't tempted the yuppies from The Smoke to come and infest our towns!  55 minutes from here into North London so great for footy at Wembley!
