Also, I noticed that Windows 10 (or even 7) does not come with DirectX(updates). Download this one from MS and see if all of you need to download some MB's. When using the program, un-check "Bling" and let it grab updates for you.

Edit: For example the benchmark tool 3DMark06, that comes with MS Visual and som eparts of DirectX. You will notice that all with a fresh Windows 7/10 installation. 3DMark needs that for the video benchmark, so that is not for nothing.

Also installed MS Visual Studio yet? Go from 2010+, so 2010, 13, 15 and up.  Download 3DMArk 2006 and test that out after. It has MS VS inside, but I rather have you install them beforehand.
Get .Net too. Reason, Windows installer fixes and such.

getting this when running 3Dmark06 (at 1280/1024 coz its the free version) :

i get this after the first scene, just when they killed everyone in the big room, they run in a tunnel and boom screen full of artifacts (or it just stop) and get this error :

IDirect3D9::CreativeDevice failed: Invalid call (D3DERR_INVALIDCALL)

GPU temp : 43°c

This looks to be a directx error, have you tried to run the game as admin, make sure the folder of Call of Duty 4 belongs to you just right click the folder then properties and security to make sure you have full access as this could be a read issue. Also their is a DirectX folder in the directory which you could try to run but I think I seen a comment that said you already tried that. Try disabling V-Sync then change your resolution possibly, set everything to low then gradually increase to see if one of the options may cause this to reoccur. Other than that with only that without the complete error logs it is hard for me to narrow down exactly what the problem is. The last thing I would suggest is updating any drivers that might be out of date as this also may conflict with DX.

wow sry @Oster i didnt saw your post.

i will check what i can do, but i have an idea of where the problem might come from.

i have the computer plugged into an UPS system, and i think that UPS is too small and it might cause power problem.

Not an expert on power consomption and all that, but i just had a big beep now and the computer reboot on its own.

not sure exactly what UPS wattage i should go for exactly if i need to replace this one
