I had the entire set of Danielle Steel DVD movies (2 of which were brand new and not opened). I posted my ad for $450. Within 2 seconds I had a response. The dude wanted to buy them for his mom. So, he sent a FEDEX truck to my house with the payment plus an extra $90 ( in a certified cheque) to hold the movies for him. He also sent extra money to cover a FEDEX for me to send the movies to him when the cheque cleared. I was in shock. I asked for $450 and received $540. Congrats! But yeah, people do anything, if that is on their wish list. I had the one time too, actually a few times. That work to be done and suddenly you have something by mail. or one day I bought an SSD from someone, for my system, and I bought a 128GB drive. Came in, I checked and rechecked and was a 256GB one. I said hey dude, it is double the size. He laughed and he said, well my fault and be happy with it. Although you'll see the deposit right away, it will take a few business days to clear at the other bank. A certified check just means the bank verified the person has the funds at that time the cheque was issued. A bank draft on the other hand is a better way to go in the future as the bank guarantees the funds. In any case at this time, if you sent or gave the goods to the buyer, hope it works out ok for you. It's an unfortunate day and age now that it's hard to be trusting. Will be sending them on Monday. The cheque I received is from the same banking institution I deal with and the funds have already been taken from his account according to the teller.
