We are also needing to set up PCs and upgrading PCs for the kids so yeah we have a few very outdated windows systems that are running vista and xp. 2) my desktop CPU will not let me play COD: warzone yet it installed with no problem. was told that i will have to upgrade my motherboard, cpu and DDRs and MAYBE one more thing, not sure. money is EXTREAMLY tight, so if you know where i can find "bang for your buck" parts thats not harsh on our dried out pockets that would be great. It's the Win 10 Media Creation tool. If your windows 7 is activated you can upgrade to Win 10 64 bit for free using this tool. It's faster and easier to use a USB thumb drive. You need 1 that is at least 8gb. It takes about 1 hour to complete the upgrade. Make sure that you save everything that you want to keep. Either burn the stuff to dvd or stick it all on a USB thumb drive. Once your upgrade is complete it will automatically activate as a Digital License. It saves that info on there servers. Once it's activated you can reinstall without having to put your Win 7 key in Unless you change the motherboard. If you change the motherboard you are changing your PCs Hardware config which your Win 10 key is bound to. You can change CPU or Video Card or Memory size or Hard drives without any problems but not the motherboard. I would do a full fresh reinstall once you see that it activates to get rid of all of the Win 7 crap that will be left on your hard drive. It keeps everything including most of the registry entries and programs when you upgrade and it takes up alot of space and can cause problems down the road especially if there was remnants of a virus or adware in the Win 7 installation. Reinstalling is much faster than upgrading win 10 especially if you are installing using a USB drive and installing Windows on an SSD. It takes me 20 minutes to do a full reinstall minus all my games and midget porn collection. lol Dessy and ChknFngr
 Awards
