  • RCXD the explosive kind cannot be shot once its EMP'ed
  • Rate of fire on Saritch is slow
  • Hardline is hit and miss or at least feels that way
  • The EMP defrost shimmer effect is nice but the sound effect is too extravagant (@Twinklestorm's word), and just unnecessary
  • Is the team voice chat proximity bound like the enemy voice chat in Hardwired? Some players mentioned my voice going up and down, other than my Noise cancellation kicking in I can't think of anything else
  • Can we just have #1 multi-purpose RCXD as opposed to the two different ones? I feel we're being punished for finding creative ways to optimize gameplay. Just like we can't defrost from Predators, AGMs, and Paveways
  • Could we have that turning in to Killstreak while mid-air back? It really added a dynamic that made the gameplay more robust, yes yes I know but try it with me some time

Observations:

  • Thank God  real Hardcore is back, the pussification of the previous mod was almost unbearable
  • Hit registration is really good at this point in time
  • Notification sound of hit markers X was rather a pleasant effect in v1.46
  • Love the discouraging red screen for 333'ers, suck on them tiddies

The term pussification not withstanding..  ?

Saritch stats/performance matches the g36c. But I will check that again just in case.

Couple fixes uploaded. Weapon pickups should work properly. Airbusrter defroster range increased. WIP to get a good setting. 

As for the car, breaking it up seems to be a good balance. It had been suggested that doing all maps to be best of 5... instead of 9... might be a good idea to consider. Something for everyone to think about.

One thing I did notice about the defroster bow, is that it was actually able to kill people, while not being able to defrost.

Also, when trying to pick up a weapon, even if you have a key bound for it, you are not able to pick up a weapon of a fallen soldier.

Not sure what other streaks to add that wouldn't fall under variations on a theme. Game asset limits not withstanding.  I have the ion cannon FX files from the old X4 mod for example but except for looks it's basically an air strike.

IMO there are a lot of streaks but currently it's WRCX New York. All cars, all the time. Will be curious how things go with them split up.

Let me sit in a heli and shoot people my self ( instead of auto fly overs ) 
Mabye a different version sentry gun, one with 3 guns attached :D:D 
A quater nuke kind of bomb that needs to be droped perfectly before you hit someone ( best with uav )

And here I thought *I* could come up with some weird ideas.

edit: Back in the day there was the Pavelow streak where you could do exactly that with a minigun at each of the three doors. A bit buggy but it also took up an enormous amount of fastfile size for just one model. You could have that one model... or you could have four player weapon models.

Played last night and had a blast.

One thing.... When defrosting with an EMP, there was no indicator that defrosting was happening.  I kept looking back to see if the EMP was defrosting, which caused a couple of untimely deaths.

I really like the direction the server is going.

i want a suicide bomber vest. u get pistol  and vest and u run and blow up u kill  every thing in 50-100 foot area. but if u get shot in back u blow right away and it will kill teamates if some shoots u in back:)

Some updates:

cod4 gamefont restored.

saritch firetime lessed (didnt match the g36, which should be in between the m4 and ak).

rc-xd *should* now be destroyable.

after predator launch, pressing fire again give you a thrust boost but locks your directional control.

'defrosted' volume lowered and falloff made quicker.

EMP nade defrosting time should be improved. Keep in mind that time is distance based, like grenade damage.

map rotation changed to the current mw2 one, except for bo2mir. Not working due to memory limits at this time with all the nice looking new weapons. Working on it.

@Sammy please disable it. I don't recall anyone asking for it. The novelty of it wore of pretty quick. It would've been ok if you didn't get penalized and the dead teammate didnt stay frozen.

I lost over 10,000 hours on this server    ,3 years ago I ask for change,I hoped something would change  but  ...bs

I refused to play with these perks for 3 years ,no one seems to care   

only this   :    evesdrop and  stealth   not together in perk 3 only this

uav very accurate at showing where people r.. and what with mines bounce or sliding when putting them down .

I played a round today. Good mod from what I've seen so far.  

One thing I noticed is that car cannot jump out of windows? Unless it was just that building.  But I was able to have my character jump out the same window... so idk. But also.. the defrost mod you cannot destroy manually. You have to wait for it to explode.  So if there is no one else to defrost. Your stuck waiting until its finished. Unless I missed something?

Big ups on the trophy system. Thats pretty cool. I set it up a few times and it just knocked out a few things to protect me. 

BTW, I am a fan of friendly fire. Stops people from nading the hell out of everything. And makes you more responsible for your shots.

The defroster car, you never know someone might get frozen while you drive around. The same thing really as the uav and sentry. You could also use it to safely and quickly scout for the enemy. Then let your team know where they are.

Both cars will mantle or jump through any window a player can. Being in 3rd person might make it a little more tricky perhaps.

FF is ultimately a clan decision but will be turned off, since that is the long established setting, unless the decision is to change it. It certainly does make things more, I guess you could say tactical and you have to pay closer attention to your team. There are different way to do it however that are more like short non-lethal effects that dont involve team kills. Maybe just partial damage.

The bouncing mine is just a different setting and there are a lot of variables for bounce factors and terrain types. Its also there to give that extra little bit of distance when you throw it.

New files uploaded for mod.ff and iwds. A few weapon and bug fixes. Restored a couple missing hud elements. FF is off... for now. :devil:

There is something to be said for FF penalties however it should be fair and not aggravating. Especially in ftag where the victim cant just respawn. Which in itself might not be a bad idea. Works as it does currently for the shooter but the dead player isnt frozen just respawns as in TDM.
