Sammy , I did notice last night the weapons pickup went back to the Use key and was no longer a separate key

I was using the SMR when I got the 16 streak, it's possible I was 1 short having used a killstreak hard to remember in the heat of battle lol.

Drop weapon would be nice but I guess its fairly minor. Some of us will will drop weapons for each other when we are low on ammo and on a big streak.

Having played for years on a tactical realism server Friendly fire would change gameplay and not in a good way. Half of the people on the server don't use their minimaps nevermind worrying about killing their teammates.

Feels to much like the mod we are on now,  Still to much high jumps and jumping speed. The goofy lights when defrosted need to go.. And feels like the hit box is already smaller or kill power turned down already... And FF needs to go. To many times you can't see a teammates tag and you shoot, To late then..

Ugh. After work I will look to figure things out. As for feeling like the other server, many people want it that way so TBH I can't win and in this case whether or not the usual settings like running speed should be transferred or different is a discussion among all of you.

Same with FF. Some of you want it some dont. Get together, make your cases, and decide.  Same thing. Whichever way it goes one side will be unhappy. 

 

i suppose kill power is down for those that used the nooby saritch as a crutch.

Sammy you won't make all these idiots happy, some people will never be happy.I like the server as it is just the time limit for the rounds is all I have to ask for.

Constructive criticism:

1. This server IS different and should REMAIN different. If you like 146 better, stay there. I like this better. Feels like the scales are a little more balanced. 

2. I like the cars being different, even if theres no protection from the RC-XD.

3. Three round win was nice, keeps things moving, specially if this map is not your fav, it will be over soon. Four is OK, five is just like 146, go back there if thats what you want.

4.  Keep the freindly fire, at least for a while.  I hope I never hear the word "PREFIRE" again. LOL  You know who you are!!!!!!!

My biggest issue is with XI managment in general and NOT the server per se. I understand this is Sammy's baby. But no project or undertaking should be so single threaded.  The 60 second rounds were probably an error gone unnoticed. Shit happens. But the fact that Sammy is not available today to fix it means all of us must endure in order to provide XI with feedback as you requested. Policy needs to change so more than one person has the keys to the kingdom. What if Sammy gets hit by a bus this afternoon on his way home from work?  Sorry Sammy, I'm not wishing that on you, just a figure of speach.

All in all, I like the new server and will play there regularly, IF it doesnt become another 146 server, if that happens then we are just wasting time, energy, and money.

Thank you Sammy for all the work you put into this. I havent a clue what it takes, but I know you have been at it for a while so it's no walk in the park.

Map eventually crashed and server reset.

Edit - Or maybe it was Rugger resetting time limit?

Home for lunch for a bit. I think I see the problem is likely duplicate image files in a couple iwds. That can often cause the problem. Did a lot of work yesterday to try and get the 2400 problem taken care of (Flemishtown) and it was late when I put the iwds back together and uploaded to get something ready for today. Will take care of it when I'm off work.  ?

Some things, like friendly fire, have been an option for a very long time on most servers (cod4 and 5). Of course mods like ACE set running speed and jumping to fit what they wanted to do. FF does have the problem in ftag in that the victims are frozen instead of the usual respawn, similar to S&D norespawn. It is arguably unfair, so it can be done differently. That said, also havent gone through all the settings. Looked and jump height is likely not the same value set in the other server. Yes the 60 seconds was for testing to get the map rotation to go fast and I neglected to change it.

So... have a little virtual meeting and hash out the pros and cons of FF. Then decide accordingly.

OK I like it, but I love the current way it is, if you switch to the new and everyone is playing on it I will too. :animier: Now about the bunny hopping exploit.  That sucks.  :popo:2 cents.  Should not be able to hop willy nilly taking advantage of those of us who have been rather rough on their hands and wrists and cannot hippity hop so quick.  lol :doc:

When we move it over to the main server I think you keep the same settings with the FF off, then keep this test server with it on and see how things go.

Its not a completely new mod, its just a tweak to what we have been playing, and the main tweak is getting the weapons more balanced. This was a huge deal so everyone isn't using the same Saritch gun. Also added in the checks to make sure everyone's settings were the same as in FPS, Foliage etc, if its not in the acceptable range they will get a red screen until they fix it. 

It will make it a more even playing field for everyone
