Well people, I have a real problem!   I moved to a very rural area in Alabama and there is no cable available.... I am using a Verizon Hot Spot and home network  with the Jet Pack.  We used up the monthly allowance in no time and that gives you unlimited 3G for the rest of the month.  In other words.... No Fire Stick and I'm having a real hard time with Internet.  I haven't tried to game yet, I figure that is totally out.   Hughes Net  is expensive from what I can see, so that is my delima.  Does anyone have any experience in this situation?  I know that there are different levels of connectivity that the different companies can supply,  but here again, everyone that I have talked to in the companies have their own ideas of what I should do.... and no one can agree with each other.  So that is why I am making this post, I need HELP from someone that has the knowledge to give me some direction.... in this case an Xtremeidiot.

Thanks Guys

I've been in a similar situation back in the day, and the options weren't good.  Let's just say there are 3 now dark T-1 demarcs on the back of my residence.  Options are:

1) Wait for 5G, this should be the great equalizer allowing for gigabit plus speeds over great distances at cheap prices

2) Find a cheaper 4G provider in your area

3) Find a local directed wired or wireless provider, harder to find now days

4) Go satellite, but this is useless for interactive gaming as there will be a built in ~ 250ms latency (125ms up and 125ms down)

Best of luck!

I do not know if these are what you are talking about but I went on google and found them.

At the bottom of each page it has the town/county/city where there is access. Just click on yours if it is there.

I use dsl and have not had a problem with it ever. The only difference between the 2 of them is cable offers higher speed which to be honest is not that important, to me anyways.

I have 3 computers, 3 phones, a ps4 and 2 ps3 and a tv and have not experienced any issues with my dsl. My ping in game in any where from 19 - 40 depending where the server is located. I am in Canada and my ping to a Chicago server is usually 35 and under.
Your dsl company must of had shitty service (which is usually on the company end).
I pay $50 a month for my dsl. If I were to get cable it would cost me $120 per month (no thanks)

This is my package which is $56.95 per month. More than enough for my use.

Download Speed: Up to 50Mbps

Upload Speed Up to 10Mbps

Usage: Unlimited

I do not download a lot but I do upload quite a bit which does not take me long.

Why do you need such a large download/upload speed? Does it help you game better?

I've got the fiber (download 1Gbps) for 29€ per month (1st year) and 48€ per month afterwards (TV and phone on internet included). It looks like it is really cheaper in France.

The only downside is that I can't freeze you faster guys. Don't understand why! ?

Sry that I can't help you @MadMonk2
