https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a32960357/2020-dodge-kia-tesla-jd-power-quality-study/

  • Kia and Dodge tied as the best in the annual J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, each averaging just 136 problems in the first 90 days of ownership per 100 cars.
  • Dodge follows up on a good showing in last year's Consumer Reports reliability study by taking the top spot here. It's the first time one of the U.S. Big Three has hit number one.
  • Tesla wouldn't let J.D. Power conduct surveys, so the trendy EV maker wasn't officially ranked. But it did have more problems than any other automaker, 250 per 100. Industry average this year was 166.

My sons 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 with 20,000 miles on it  had $11,000 dollars of damage. The cabin air vent behind the passenger seat located at the base of the cab leaked and rotted out the interior when it sat for a month at his school.  Always found water on the floor board and it was thought it was the third brake light leaking. Nope, bad design an the water comes in around the edge of the seal.  Sounds after going36F0750A-D9A1-48BF-B519-7F9A1825E4B4.thumb.jpeg.db1b1c35e4a4e8f98998476472dcccea.jpegD369DD42-97DE-4207-92F9-1964DCC03375.thumb.jpeg.5849b3a15135e5c9d0ace6c306708be1.jpeg7FE1498E-EE41-4F9C-B525-946840E474AB.thumb.jpeg.f23d0e66cc11881d42993be750a364e1.jpeg01644000-91EB-4867-9A86-7B1A6DC825F4.thumb.jpeg.159526bd0033318f4d518756d646bb84.jpeg674B4E2F-962F-4535-A7A7-8B23D0F84C49.thumb.jpeg.44037a162a718f05c94f30a35b286bbc.jpeg through this that it has been a problem for them.

Gotta Kia Rio. Small car, great on gas, and runs good.  I'm at 162K km now and have done nothing but breaks, tires, and oil changes.

Kia guarantee is for 7 years, no other manufacturer comes near, says it all, but I still struggle to like their range of cars, and I don't know why ?

Yea love his posts, they've tried to take hm down a few times now, his voice always sounds as though he's going to 'croak' lol, some good info but he also gives some doubtful, you have to pick the wheat from the chaff.

(for the Snowflakes who definitely won't know what chaff is, and may not know what wheat is, it's the stuff that makes bread before it goes to the factory)

I have 2 Kia's, an Optima and a Forte hatchback, I love the brand, you get so much more for your money and the quality for me at least has been fantastic! Not one issue except brakes, tires.

We bought the Optima brand new, we got it loaded with all the tech stuff, all the sensors around the car to tell you if cars are around when switching lanes, every option available at the time. Just didn't get the turbo engine. We paid $24,500 for it, if I would of bought a Ford or Chevy with all the same options it would of been a lot more money

That tech stuff is referred to as ADAS, advanced driver assistance system.

Wow perfect for the ladies, they can do their hair and makeup in perfect safety, knowing any nasty cars will alert them, hope it works for cats, dogs, kiddies and MOTORCYCLES ?

Things like this should be banned

Do they get better gas mileage than say...a Jeep?

He can be a goof sometimes.  But I have used his videos a few times for car repairs.
