Looks great!  I used to, when I had land.  Currently in an apartment, so not much room.  Was considering growing an herb garden though on the patio.

Hell no I'm tired of snapping beans and digging potatoes. Damn nice garden. Do you can stuff?

We used to have a huge garden and used to can enough to last all year but the last few years I've only planted 1/2 dozen tomato plants and a couple cucumber plants and a couple Zucchini plants and a few Onions.

I love sweet fried Zucchini.  nom nom nom nom nom nom

That's a really good looking garden! Wish mine looked that good. Had to settle for a smaller version this year, since we were and still are in the process of moving.

Wow, @WeednFeed, it's an awesome garden and I know that you also have some chicken for some fresh eggs ! You're so lucky to have that much land; I still have to use almost all of my backyard for my children (pool, playground, trempoline, space to run and play bubble soccer and our chickencoop ? ), so I only go for a couple tomatoe plans, but a big rack of fresh herbs ! My strawberry and blueberry plants are pretty much dried out this year with all this heat and no rain... but there's always next year ?

Really big garden @WeednFeed our garden didn't do well at all this year. Our tomatoes are just starting to ripen and not very many of them. Swiss chard is doing well thank god we catch rain water when it does rain.

I have four 8x4 outdoor beds plus a 2x2 potato box I am using to see if I can get multiple harvests.  And of course indoors I have the two 4x4 spaces. ;)

Those tomato plants, tho.  Fucking smashing!  Do you go so far as to accommodate each plant variety's particular optimal ph range?  They all look a healthy green with no signs of deficiency or burn.  Free of pests, too.  Well done, man.  What varieties of tomatoes are you growing?

Thanks my ground is quite acidic. That's why the potatoes do alright. The tomatoes are Early Girl, Sweet millions, Scotian's and another I can't remember the name right now. I have such a short growing season I have a hard time ripening the tomatoes on the vine. The Scotian's are VERY flavorful and are suited to this area. the others I just pick up what the big box stores bring in. The bedding plant marketing board shut down all the small mom and pop places I used to buy my bedding plants from. You know PRICE FIXING!

I plan on having the soil tested this year to better understand the what I will require going forward. I'm sure I'll have to lime this fall. I will be amending the soil with leaves and manure as well.

Many places carry Cherokee Purple plants.  Try those next growing season.  They're rich & tasty.  They're also heirloom tomatoes, which means you can save the seeds and plant them next year.  Start them indoors & use a wall of water & or covering to harden them off.... alternatively, just buy them already-grown again.  They're that good when it's a good year.  Strangely, I can control for all variables of which I'm aware & still will have some great, some good, & some not so good years for a given variety.  Treating your soil with a beneficial fungus is also worthwhile.  They grow in the soil & around the roots of the plants, protecting them & also helping them absorb nutrients that otherwise wouldn't be available:  https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS908US908&sxsrf=ALeKk00Hy-qxnJxsS6SjO2YH_a-Z5JWU5A%3A1595877142548&ei=FicfX62EIYG0tQahuamADQ&q=beneficial+mycorrhizal+fungi&oq=beneficial+myc&gs_lcp=CgZwc3ktYWIQARgBMgIIADICCAAyBggAEBYQHjIGCAAQFhAeMgYIABAWEB4yBggAEBYQHjIGCAAQFhAeMgYIABAWEB4yBggAEBYQHjIGCAAQFhAeOgQIABBHOgQIIxAnOgUILhCRAjoFCAAQkQI6CwguELEDEMcBEKMCOggILhDHARCjAjoECAAQQzoFCC4QsQM6AgguOgoIABCRAhBGEPkBOgQILhBDOgYIABAKEEM6CAguELEDEIMBOgUIABCxAzoHCC4QsQMQQzoKCAAQsQMQFBCHAjoMCAAQFBCHAhBGEPkBOgQIABAKOgcIABAUEIcCOggILhDHARCvAVCBqAFYlMcBYPrkAWgBcAJ4AIABmwGIAfsMkgEENC4xMZgBAKABAaoBB2d3cy13aXrAAQE&sclient=psy-ab

Are tomatoes are not good this year as well. I was reading do not over water and when the temp goes over 85f they are slow to ripen. Also you can prune them to get rid of some of the leaves to let air and sun at them to ripen.

I tried to get new laying hens this year but the covid got all the closet chicken keepers out and there were non available. I was pissed off because I was in to the feed store 4 times in February and March and they just kept saying we are not taking orders yet. Then they said Oh we sold them all.
