I tell my MS protection to remove it and all it does is scan and find it again. There used to be a program for this kind of thing but with my memory I don't remember what it was. I have them pop up occasionally - I use malwarebytes to quarantine or delete. I think some of the PUP notifications are meaningless but never had any problems after deleting them
 Awards

I did that and it didn't see anything. Maybe I need to do a deep scan? I am puzzled by this!
 Awards

Without knowing where Defender is pointing to we are just guessing what program is being affected. Of course it just could be a false positive also. I have MS's antivirus stuff turned off as there is, I feel, better free programs out there. Option 1: Look in your control panel - Programs and Features and see if there is a AutoKMS listed. If so uninstall it. But I don't know what it is trying to activate so something might not work after doing this. Option 2: Dump Windows Security and use a different AV solution. https://windowsreport.com/autokms-malware/
 Awards
