The survey found that the Japanese brands Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda and Kawasaki were the most reliable brands, while Triumph, Ducati and BMW were, in the report's delicate language, “more repair-prone.”Feb 3, 2016

hope they fixed weak shiter spring on earlier models. Would miss shift 1st to 2nd. '20  year engines went to dry sump oiling  and new counterbalance shaft, to fix oil leaks  previous design

best if can rent 3R / GT  before you buy will be worth it

It depends on the model.  We used to pass the factory in Hinckley as it is right next to the Ashby Canal on which we would cruise.

Only the custom bike production and design section left now at Hinckley, pulled other production last year, hence my comment if he wants to speak to a worker the vast majority (I think) will be in Thailand. I've owned many Triumphs over the years and loved them warts and all, but I have no experience of the Rocket 3, mainly due to it not suiting my roads when I rode bikes, and you @DEEJAYKEG know what happened there mate. Looks great for America and Canada where it was targeted for?

I get it now @RobMc.  I was more thinking about sales people rather than the Thai workers on the line making and assembling parts 🙂    I wonder if its a good thing or a bad thing that they are made in Thailand - I had an old Land Rover and an MG before 🙂

I was torn between the Rocket and an Indian but was looking for sales advice.

BTW, my German car is made in Alabama and ever since I got it, I like Bratwurst with collard greens and sweet tea for some reason.  With the Triumph, maybe I can learn to like Fish & Chips Pad Thai.

I'd actually get the Native American😅 in your country for no other reason than it's easier to sell, the quality control on Triumphs is really good, but say what you will and on some models the finish is poor (i.e. Bonneville). But KaptCrunch is dead right, if you can hire one to try that's the way to go, the larger Native Americans (remember the new Rob is politically correct) are ugly to me, let us know what you get and what swung it, I'm jealous.

at least it's not like the widow maker Kawasaki H1 Mach III 500 triple 2 stroke. was hard too keep both wheels on the ground for the power band was instantly and unpredictable. with the 4 cycle  engine ECU more  predictable  then ole carb's

I'm in SoCal and there aren't any places that will rent the Rocket - at least that is what I have found so far.  I have rented the Indian (uhm I mean the indigenous people of the land now referred to by the invaders as America) (I am trying to out PC Rob).  I have ridden the Bobber and the Bobber Twenty and the regular Scout.  By the time I get the Bobber to be how I want it kitted out, it will be close to the price of the Rocket.  I currently have a KTM dual sport bc I am next to the forest but looking to get a nice street cruiser.

I test drove the Rocket and they put it in baby mode for me haha.  I wonder how it will be in Sport.

Budman reason people still think gotta lean to turn, not on 3 wheels total different style of riding.

Need to place your foot heavy on foot peg opposite of your turn for 3 wheel centrifugal force will toss you off seat (note: high speed turn short arc).

On 2 wheels  you ride with centrifugal force cos your in line with GeForce of the bike, that make any sense ?

only issue is Turning radius is about 13 feet. so single lane road  need to make extra move or jump curb to make 1 move.

once rolling not hard to steer. note trike style has larger turn radius.

or  are talking of narrow twin front wheel bike like

Yamaha’s Niken  you still need a kickstand  with this bike

I had the 750  - for 3 weeks sold it before it killed me, wish I'd pushed it to the back of the garage seen the prices, what an evil ride that was, if you consider excitement as vacating your bowels that was the bike for you, I loved 2 strokes.

for me got a nice cut on chin one day when i try to pass a slow poke on highway, down shifted an hit WOT and bike just popped up so fast and the crown nut smashed my chin lucky was in shock for speed of front wheel kept me straight when came down.  I miss that tune of 2 stroke and sound of WOT from the carb's. i seized the motor after replacing crank seals forgot to check oil jection had a pinched inlet oil to injection pump and sold bike
