need to buy a new one,,usually i get a cat-5..but I see diff ones cat-9 etc...which is best?

If you're not running gigabit or higher speeds, you can go with 5e, a bit cheaper than 6. I run gigabit speeds and still using 5e without issue and mainly cause I have about 500m of the stuff still so not going to waste it.

rose this for in wall or outside wall 

UTP for outside wall  (un-sheilded twisted pair)

STP  for in wall (sheilded twisted pair)

Correct Kapt. Cat 5 or 6 will also run effectively to about 328 ft or about 100 meters.

I make my own Cat 6 cables for myself but i have access to it through my job, but for home use Cat 5 will do the job for you no problem at all

Good point too Hoth. Distance is a factor as well.
