In Arkansas we average 2-4 inches total for the year and it usually is melted off the next day, currently there is 6" on the ground with a couple more forecasted..We have had freezing temps ranging from 29 to -10 degrees f. for the last five days and it won't get above freezing for two more days. Ya I remember that shit. I was only 6 but I remember heading out to Ohio to visit my great Aunt and Uncle just before it hit. Weather was bitter cold when we headed out but no one expected THAT much snow to hit that quickly. It was something like 6-10 foot of snow in 6-8 hours in some parts. We had to stay at their place for almost a month because everything was snowed in so bad especially up on the mountains near the home place. They cleared the roads up around our place on Laurel Mountain with Snow cats. I thought they were the coolest looking things ever.
