What drive letter did you give it? If different than C, you'll probably have to change your boot drive within the BIOS.

And that is where I am lost. I have clue how to change the Bios.

But if I change it to C will it boot from that drive ?

It should.  I'm no genius and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but if that doesn't work, swap the sata drive cable on the SSD s so the new one is connected to the port that the current drive is plugged into. The bios may be looking at the sata port rather than drive letter. You would like sata 0, sata 1, ports etc

Ooops this PC a brand name unit or home built

Merlin is correct on Sata cables Note: do only when PC is shut down

first  the whole OS on the 128 SSD? any other drives on PC

home built..... would've  start by partition 1TB drive with 35GB for windows install with current OS and what ever other size of space wanted. EG steam drive, game drive, backup ETC  once configured  sizing of 1Tb  get all current drivers for your hardware put it on a USB stick  for install

if was a brand name unit  clone the 128  then partition 1Tb

I assume both are the 2.5" variety and you didnt install a new M2 one. When I did the upgrade, and migrated everything, no matter what I did or changed in the bios the computer still considered the older SSD as the boot drive. After I took it out all was fine. Its now in a portable enclosure.

How you making out @Thunder. If no luck yet, what is do is pull your 128 out and put the new SSD in its place. When you boot, it should pick up the new drive assuming the data migration worked correctly. If you can boot, then put the 128 SSD in.

issue is his MB not reconize drive size  need to update bios.

To: other people make sure you know your Rev of MB before any updating  and know dos commands

and have file on flash drive  formatted to 16/32bit

Note on Rev:

lets say MB manufacture made model#  zx389 MB  Rev.1  and had issues  but kept same model# and changed to Rev.2

means they had issues with a ford hardware Rev.1

then switch to a chevy hardware with Rev.2

So if you got them mixed up  after update will have a blank screen for software not match the hardware  this is important to know your Rev of MB b4 any flashing

note some MB makers have app for updating hardware is best way now for older MB need to do DOS

I remember back in the '80s, when I was in high school, DOS is what all the computers ran in the computer lab... no Windows yet.

  1. Create a Bootable USB with Ubuntu Linux (https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/create-a-usb-stick-on-windows#1-overview)
  2. Connect both drives
  3. use 'dd' or GParted (GUI) disk utility to clone your 128GB to 1TB (https://www.addictivetips.com/ubuntu-linux-tips/clone-a-linux-hard-drive-with-gparted/)
    1. your 1TB will have 872GB of free space
  4. use the disk utility (GParted) to expand the volume on your 1TB to full capacity
  5. remove 128GB drive
  6. booth from your new drive

This is a simplified list and you will need to google #1, #3, #4 for complete instructions.

All the best!

Oh, I know; all my rigs, save 1, have been built by yours personally.  First one was actually an assignment in Jr. High computer lab.  Actually like tweaking the cpu, memory voltage settings & timings when a rig gets older & I'm not so worried about stressing it.  Overclocking is cake nowadays.  But I digress.
