Hi All:

In game, my handle is Muffinhandz.  In real life, my name is Tony, I live in the Milwaukee area and have been a professional drummer for 43 years.  One of the more "fun" bands I was in was called KISS Tribute - Dr Love.  Here is a link to some fan-shot material from our "farewell show" in 2016.

Encore:  Beth / Detroit Rock City / Rock-n-Roll All Nite:

Yeah another player !!!  This time of year I cant play much, but may sneak out and play this weekend some.  Peter Criss is a very fluid drummer and I like his playing.  Very underrated.

He did influence me greatly and I respect his accomplishments after dropping out of High School at the age of 16.  IMHO, their "best drummer" was Eric Carr and their most consistent has been Eric Singer.  But yes, I agree he was underrated and looked over often as a "great drummer".

Saw Eric Singer many times with Alice Cooper.  He spent quite a few years with Alice and then with Alice and Kiss for a while.   One of my favorite drummers is Cozy Powell.

"Hard Luck Woman" - we did an unmasked, acoustic set as a fund-raiser for a kid with cancer.  (Despite me having no voice due to being at a wedding and dance the night before, partying my arse off)

The last band I played in was for Larry Pascale.  Here is the title track to his album "Black-n-Blue".  We shot the video in October of 2020.

My favorite Kiss albums ?

1st -  hmm.  Kiss - Alive  Even though this album was more studio than live.

2nd - (Close decision against 3rd)-  Dressed to Kill

3rd Rock and Roll Over

4th Love Gun

5th Destroyer (yes I know kind of low in the list for a great album, but my opinion)

6th Kiss - Kiss

7th - Hotter than Hell -  Good songs on it, but the production quality was shit !!  Any others notice it suffered in fidelity ?

8 - Dynasty -  The disco album !!  Had a couple good tunes.

After Dynasty I lost interest in them.  I did buy Sonic Boom which has some great tunes, but not like the old stuff.  Not knocking Eric and Tommy but Ace had the riffs.  Aces solo stuff is more Kiss than new Kiss stuff.

I have seen KISS 4 times over the years with my first show being at the LA Forum in 1976 as a 16 year old after the Alive album came out. Many times during my high school days we wore make-up on Halloween because back then KISS Rocked and like Ted Nugent needed to be played much louder than my parents would allow lol. I saw them last in Feb. 2019 on the 3rd show of their "End of the Road" Tour with my 37 year old son at the Tacoma Dome that has awesome sound from the wooden roof.. We had tickets straight back from the stage in the 3rd row of risers so we didn't have to stand up all night and yet he could see the entire show the way they wanted you to see it. I was glad he enjoyed the show and we had a blast and got baked out of our minds, even broke out some old school KISS T-shirts we wore to the show. I mention this because you guys do a great job of re-creating the sound and feel of a early KISS Show including the throwback make-up. While the show I attended was awesome it was very clear that they were using every trick in the book to give folks who attended the shows the sound and visuals everyone expects from them and it was also clear that they needed those backing tracks and at times they were lip-syncing. If you were to pull up a old fan video of a KISS show and close your eyes and compare the sounds you hear with those you guys produced I think folks would be hard pressed to figure out who was the original. Most people who enjoyed KISS don't know that most of those Speaker Towers in the old shows were just empty boxes and as stated before the Alive album was a creation of sounds from many sources to sell more concert tickets by making you think they could pull that off every night. But hell they sold out 2 nights at the Forum in LA in 1976 as well as many many albums. I still think it is Gene that is the intro voice saying "You wanted the best, you got the best" was Gene because no one sold KISS like Gene. In fact I just received a cease and desist letter from Gene for this post and I haven't finished typing it yet lol. You guys showed that you enjoyed giving people a chance to relive some of their youth and Hard Luck Woman has always been a old school Favorite thanks

Saw Kiss in Dayton with Mountain back in the 70's.  Then my wife and I took all our kids (all adults) to see them in 2010 in Cincy.  Good shows always.

My cousin got chewed out by Paul Stanley back stage at a Kiss concert in Columbus.  This happened many years ago.  Funny story behind it.  But my cousins son found a life size cut out of Paul and put it in the hallway of their house, so when his dad walked in from work, it was right in his face.  He put a caption on it saying "Get the Fuck Out of Here" !!  Which is what Paul told him backstage !!

Paul's kind of a dickweed.  Gene, I love and have met many times.  Ego is beyond control, but as he so eloquently said, "Life it too short to have less than delusional notions of ones self."

Live area in my home studio.  Have a 30 x 32 room with 10' ceilings.  Natural reverb is pretty good in the room.
