so i was talking to t-rat and sally about books we read and i thought i would type it in here so everyone can enjoy them.
i read them on a kobo e-reader and it is a nice device to use... so if anyone wants to buy one... the kobo is a good one.
ok. here we go.

john flanagan - all books by him but specially the series of "the rangers apprentice" are good ones.
brandon sanderson - the reckoners series. 3 books called: steelheart, firefight and calamity.
harry potter off course
eoin colfer - the artemis fowl series
chris bradford -  a series that is called "the young samoerai"
rick riordan - all the books by him are fantastic but you should start with percy jackson and the lightning thief
george rr martin - game of thrones off couse!
suzanne collins - the hunger games series, but also "the balad of songbirds and snakes" is a good one to read
ernest cline - 2 books "ready player one"  and "armada" are good books
james dashner - the mazerunner series
raymond e feist - i liked every book of this writer but he has a different style of writing
david gemmel - same as the above, good books but not everyone likes the style of writing
cs lewis - the narnia series... old but good
fiona mcintosh - a series of 3 books called "the quickening"
robin hobb - there are a lot of books but i really enjoyed reading the series called "the farseeer trilogy" but the other books arent bad either and they all take place in the same world

so there you have a lot of books i read... i know a lot of them are young adult or even children books but i like reading them.
does anyone else have some suggestions i should go find out? let me know plz

Well, there is so much out there.

George Orwell. Pretty much anything but as always 1984.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. One of the best spy novels around. The movie was good but it glossed over a hell of a lot to make it fit into 2 hrs, including the credits.

Since you mentioned Hunger Games, one on my future reading list is Battle Royale. The general consensus is that HG has the better protagonist and emotional side while BR is about the horror/brutality/paranoia as well as the true nature of people. As such HG is geared to young women while BR is not.

The Hunt for Red October is a great read. The movie is quite good but it lacked depth and is more of an action movie. The premise of the movie was 'oh my God he is going to launch and start a war!'. Well. No. If that was the goal all they had to do was launch everything at Europe and devastate it all. Buh bye. A pretty big plot hole and something dealt with quickly and discarded. So the premise of the book is significantly different.

World War Z is quite good. Forget you ever saw Brad Pitt. Only thing in common is the title. The premise of the book is that it is an historical account of a war that was already fought and won using interviews of survivors discussing the prelude, the war, and the aftermath.  So not a zombie action movie. Spoiler: the zombies lost.

Rose looks after her shelf reading about health medical papers.

while you dream of  "Rosie"  (of the Jetsons) the robot maid

i guess that scientific path your taken.  LoL sexist  some women are smarter then some boys for where there is a will is a way to learn

Oh my experience is certainly that in general women are smarter than men, health medical papers eh? Rosie never fails to surprise. I have no interest in medicine but enjoy engineering science and physics. I have not read a book now for two years, after devouring thousands in my lifetime due to eye problems, miss them, tried audiobooks but not the same.
