Received my first Moderna Covid shot.  Nothing out of the ordinary as far as reaction.  Sore arm, thats about it.  But most say the second shot produces more reactions.  Will see next month when I get the follow up.  Anyone else get the Moderna vaccine ?  How did you do with it ?

I had the Pfizer a few days ago.  Arm ached really bad for 24 hours.  Due the next one March 30th.  I posted a pic of me in an XI shirt at the vaccination centre in the Politics Forum to stir up our conspiracy theorists 😁

Where is Hxtr when you need him

My parents are 85 and 88. Dad 88 goes to dialysis twice a week. They get their shots on the 22nd. As their care giver ie: take them to the hospital bring them groceries and do everything else. I think I'm able to get my shot, I'll be 64 in May. I might call and see if they will give it to me.

Our county is still giving shots to 60+.  Im a couple years younger.  But a client told me to call our local Krogers.   They have people in the 60+ schedule shots and then for some reason those people cancel.  So they offer those to anyone on a first come first serve basis (call after 5pm).  I called Friday after 5 and they had plenty.  So my daughter and I got them.  But if your interested, and have a local Krogers, then keep that in mind and call after 5pm.  Never called CVS,  they may do the same.

I had the Oxford AstraZeneca a couple weeks back. Had general grogginess/chills the following day but my arm hurt/was swollen for about a week. I also had what we think was a very mild allergic reaction as a slight rash developed a few days later, but faded after like 2 days.

I'm not inclined to put the arm pain or swelling entirely down to the jab itself and I think the delivery played a part. Nurse quite literally slammed it into my arm like holy fuck. It was like she was actually trying to stab me.

Got both shots of moderna, wife did too, we were a little tired after 24 hrs but that was all. Any reactions you would get wont come until about 24 hrs after your 2nd shot.

Thats what I am hearing.  Second shot is the one that gets people.  My second is next month.  I did feel a little puny the next day, but nothing major.

Pete if I die after my second shot, I told my wife to contact you and send you one of my Fenders.  That way every time you play it you will be reminded of Trump !!  And me of course !!!

Some medical professionals are not as good as others, the same in every profession.
Used to go to a Dr who immigrated from China. He practiced acupuncture as well. He was the best at giving shots. It took me a while to figure out why his shots never hurt. While he was disinfecting the the site of the injection with the alcohol swab he would rub his thumb deal into the muscle at the injection site. Worked every time, never felt pain at the inside. Next time you go for an injection have the medical professional try this. It works

The nurse who did my shot either didn't disinfect or did the whole procedure in one move because the next think I knew I had the need going full force into my arm. I've never know anything like it to be honest. I've had flu shots and vitamin B12 shots at my GP surgery and the nurses there are always very gentle but for this I had to go to one of the vaccine centres out of town and I guess the nurse I got just wanted to stab people and then go home.

My acupuncturist Fat Kok is also Chinese, he's also a sooth sayer just before the treatment on me he always says 'I'll feel a little prick', he's never disappointed, he's currently advising the NHS in Worcestershire.  People in Evesham probably encounter his wife 'Fuk Mei' at clinics, when meeting her for the first time don't repeat her name when she introduces herself, she takes mispronunciation badly, be warned.
