This is my car, a 1962 Ford Falcon 2 door with a chevy small block (406ci) with a turbo 350 trans. The pic of it with the gold flames is the most recent picture.

Nice Old school slapper bars and a straight axle. Not much room under the hood of those old Falcons with the factory shock towers.  I had a 63 back in early 90s with a mildly built 1965 289 hipo stuffed in it. I wanted to put a nice set of headers on it but there was no way an off the shelf header would fit with the iron heads. Factory Iron 289 Hipo heads are probably a good 1 1/2" wider at the exhaust flanges on both sides. Stock mid to late 60s 289 Mustang iron exhaust manifolds were not horrible performance wise but they were not the best sounding.

Jay Leno has a 63 with a bored and stroked 289 with aluminum heads on it but the custom low profile headers are still about 1/2 of an inch away from the shock towers.

Just put new turbo's (2 Garrett 675 Ball Bearing), headers, downpipes, test pipes, 740cc Nismo Injectors (double stock), Greddy Profec Boost Control and a few other goodies.  Im waiting on a new dual air intake which is on back order.  With the stock air intake I am limited to 15psi.  The motor can not suck in enough air beyond that psi.   Daily driving Im only running 10psi, which puts it at about 475 rear wheel HP.  Thats plenty for street use.   I do have the controller set to 15psi on the "Hi" setting, but rarely use it (525hp).  Too squirrely at that level.   Once the dual air intake comes in I can realistically see 625wrhp or more with current ECU tune and 28psi of boost.   Proper tune and race gas could easily push 700hp.  Not bad for a 3.0 liter 6cyl. from the 90's.    Will get pictures of the motor when I get a chance.  I need to take it to Mid-Ohio during a track day and have some fun.  Damn thing loves anything over 100mph !!  Plus it handles like a go kart !!  Wife hates riding with me.

Turbo's are both water cooled and oil feed with oil cooler.  The whole engine only holds 4 qts.  As you can tell by the engine picture, its pretty damn tight.  The new intake will be located in same position as old one.  Basically it adds another pop charger and another MAF sensor.   The new intake has a sensor switch to enable the car to run without the ECU being flashed.  Pretty slick for those not wanting to mess with ECU crap.  But I will replace the code to take full advantage of the dual intakes.  Sorry for the bad picture.  I still using an old Samsung S4 !!  The intake picture is from another Z with similar type system.  The intake is under the nose panel on the front of the car.  Gets pretty good airflow.  Intercoolers are located in stock positions on both front side fenders with intakes.   I installed larger intercoolers a few years back.   The third picture is the actual back ordered intake I am installing.  The new turbos are quite larger than the stock ones, so my lag with the one intake is an issue.  Spooling comes on strong around 4k.   Gets freakishly fast from 5k to 7k.   Once I install the extra intake, I will see less lag.  Should start boosting strong around 3k (like stock).   Its quite fun to be going 55mph down the highway and drop it into 3rd and smoke the tires.

A Dodge Coronet is on my wish list !!!   If I ever get to build a drag car, a Coronet is on the top 10 list.  Do the Fury's have that roof line going across by the "C" pillars, like the Coronets ?  Pretty damn similar looking bodies.

yes sir, definitely a roof line.  They are similar.

Nice Nissan too man!  I had a 92 TT AWD stealth several years ago, loved it but had constant tranny problems with it.

Shadow

you worn out that 318 already if member had  when first gotten that ride.

note 318 is an internally balanced engine verses the 360 being an external balanced engine. Both engines will have a 727 Torque Flight transmission.

so need to keep  the 360  flex plate and torque converter not sure what one has the extra balancing weight on or changed bolt pattern of mating units  transgo or raybestospowertrain has nice kits can buy. just need a good pair of snap ring pliars and memory of stuff goes note on clutch packs keep them speparate with springs and not mix them with other springs /packs for look same but different tensions and don't change count of springs on packs for are set to a pressure.  note flim process so not to miss any thing. if opt for full rebuild kit, pre soak clutch plates in tin foil roast pans with trans oil also note .050 clearance is the target want on clutch packs, pay attenton on wave rings too. band adjustment  follow kit notes. oh careful of the balls in trans valvebody when taking apart the top half is hex bolt side. also need compressed air max 10-30 psi to check clutch pack circuits before and after repacking them and a jar of vaseline  for to lube saels to install.
