My hard drive failed and nothing could be recovered from it.🤒

I had WAW loaded via a cd and have lost the cd...when it rains it pours.

I plan on purchasing from Steam, my question is when I purchase from Steam does it come with PB, or will have to download PB also??

sometimes you can just get lucky if the drive that failed is main drive[ie windows on it],try this,  disconnect old drive, installn ew drive with windows on it , shut down reconnect old drive, when that done ,on Windows 10  find Disk Management have a look in there if it shows that drive with no letter assigned assign drive letter,  go to  run type drive letter [ ie  c : or what ever letter you gave it], if drive not completely buggered you should be able to see all your folders and files, basic it becomes a storage drive..

AS for PB  go to  www.evenbalance.com

Man, what a pain in the patoo this has been.  I bought WAW through Steam, everything seemed to be working until I tried to set up an online profile.  You guessed it, I can't do it.  Any suggestions??

Pretty sure you would need your original cd key to use your current profile. Verify game cache to make sure everything installed correctly.

Here is my story:
My second drive 2TB 7200 rpm crash and this is what i have done
I take out the drive and lay it next to my pc and put 4 fan's on it (size what fits in a pc power unit) make sure that the fan blow real cool air on the disk. Connect the dis on the pc there is always a way to connect power and data on the broken disk.

Install https://www.easeus.com/datarecoverywizardpro/
Try to get the pro version with key i think you know the way to find this
Install is and then put on the broken drive run easeus program and let it run but be sure the drive has enough cooling.
This can take a while (mine over the night) but i was getting 95% of the file back.

Here is what happening if you have a 7200rpm drive it is getting hot i mean real hot so i made a cooler inside the pc on the hard-drive because most drives 7200rpm has heat problems
afbeelding.png.2812cb4274ce55dd9b20382b944b707e.png

now my drives stay on:
Boot drive 29C = 84.2F
Data drive 31C = 87.8F

Don't forget to put on S.M.A.R.T. on in the bios
I have also running Hard Disk Sentinal PRO that control my hard-disks

Regarding CODWAW specifically, our servers do not run PB so for here, not needed but can't say the same for other non-XI servers. As noted, PB is available in our download section.  The latest PB software won't work since PB does not support this game any more so you need the files off our downloads if you do play elsewhere that has PB enabled.
