There are many possibilities...Do you have a steam version ? what type of headset/mic ? Do you have "gaming mode" on or off in windows ? Have you set the iw3mp to run as administrator ? does your desktop/display setting match your game display setting ? does the pc just lock up completely with no error message...Can you check your "event viewer" log in windows

It's a dvd version.

I don't have gaming mode.

I tried to run as administrator but it crashed.

sry, I don't understand 😅-> does your desktop/display setting match your game display setting ?

I will post my event viewer if it can help

My headset is basic, plug in the front of the computer-> if I unplugged and plugged, their is no effect at all.

When it crashed, I can't quit COD4, can't open a browser, can't lunch an other game...

@Yop this is a windows/OS based issue...If you do not feel comfortable attempting to correct it I would suggest getting someone who is tech savvy to do so...Here is a link for better understanding of the "How to" and "Why" https://www.thewindowsclub.com/server-did-not-register-with-dcom ...I would also create a restore point before attempting anything and always restart Pc after making changes
