Computer Issue

So, this is new. I've never encountered this in the past. Any suggestion be great. 

 

The power button on the tower is not responding. Computer is not turning off or on, however it is powered and I can see the lights are on on the Power and Reset button on the motherboard. If I hit the reset button it doesn't do anything, it only starts if I hit the power button, I have to pull the plug to restart it. Very confused....

Sounds like you need a new case....Same thing happen to me

remove motherboard from case and place on a non-conductive surface  like dry cardboard. and hook up everything to test out side of case.

i've seen warped cases shorting out and switch failures

Note get you  motherbaord manual to know the front panel pin out for the start connection so can manually jump with a small screw driver.

try unplugging the power button from the mother board and plugging it back in,if its the power button the problem won't change

opps try another known working monitor or check screen cables
