I have a large Corsair case and 850 watt Corsair PS. My Mother board is an Asus ROG Maximus VIII Hero. Processor is I7-6700K. Three case fans and a water cooler on the processor. I'm running a 1T SSD.

I believe I'm good to go.

Trust me, never buy anything that has the "Gigabyte" branding. Just don't do it.
Their motherboards, videocards are the worst. Anything else they make, I have no idea.

The card is used from someone who is always upgrading! He grabbed this one as most people might realize last year or two cards were hard to find. His new card will be here Wednesday. I have first refusal on the card. That’s why I’m inquiring about it. For my system and my games it should last be a very long time. My week link is my monitor 32 inch Samsung curved a bit older I believe it’s only 60hz. Nice picture for these old eyes.

Gotcha! Ok yeah, if the card is used that is something else. Most of the time they(SMD's) have gone through a 'phase' as they say. And the one you get is not a 3070 or higher, I think you are fine (and if the price is good). And you know, the 3060 is just a failed 3070-wannabee ;) That's how it works.

Just keep in mind that Gigabyte AND Inno3D are the worst on the market. The components used, they rather don't spend an extra dime for/on it. While others are, and we talk about a few cents here and there, and not dollars. Cheap bastards, and Inno3D makes those, that you sure can forget their support.

Yes, please have your eyes on a 75Hz or 120Hz monitor at least. And what resolution you like. I bought my monitor for a good price(100) and that is an 144Hz one, but still on 1920x1080 for myself. And yeap, my eyes are getting old too. I just hate to squeeze my eyes, lol.

Once you install the 3060, let us know. Besure that you run something like 3DMark(can be used for free) and with a backplate, you can feel how hot it gets. Like @KaptCrunch mentioned, keep them cool!

Loving that blue @dawgy Also the color of my 'workstation'. Blue is a warm, nice color to have. My game-pc is black with white, though.

@X-RayXI

the air flow in front or bottom of case, out back or top of case,

for the cooler air is outside of the case .

weed  can check if water block is avilable for your card  but still need the air flow for the Vram  and add to loop in serial  circuit, an how big is your rad ? may need to add another rad if small   or what water cooling system using ?  pump on top of CPU ? style

Cooler water pump is a Corsair H100iGTX it has a 2 fan rad with hoses to the cpu/heat sync, the rad is bottom mounted over the bottom case vents. Al kinds of room in the case for this card if i decide on it.

You forget something very critical, like what @KaptCrunch said.

Those Corsair coolers are great, but it blocks also the air cooling, that the Mosfets are needed. Those on the left of your pump, that is mounted onto your processor. If you have a fan on the top, let it blow in(down) and the air that can escape, to the back. Plus, if the air can reach it, it can blow against the backplate of your videocard.

Take a look at this picture: Ignore the left blue one!

Weed you know water is heaveir than air

i build my loops is self bleeding and for Res at top of the loop not rad

corsair  knows how to make repeat bussieness for the manual is pure BS on fluid heat transfer,  note top rad mount with hoses facing down has no air escaping and the rad becomes a big air pocket, you know when it not cool as it use to thats what happened.

IMG_4235.thumb.JPG.424c3fc58637cc83629eb9e44fc86f76.JPG current just cpu for no water block for 2080Ti extreme gpu. cover off for the pic  3x120 fan in front of case

damier.thumb.jpg.ec005149ff36739662f887dbe75be012.jpg old set-up parrelle gpu 2 sli, cpu, chipset  with rad mounted outside of case and had a fill port on rad tank top.

me i know nothing about water cooling   LoL

@X-RayXI my case is almost opposite of yours. My P/S is at the top exhaust fan blowing out. My CPU water cooler is in the bottom bringing (intake) air in from the bottom. My one larger rear fan above the water cooler exhaust out the rear. My front two intake fans bring air into the case. The top front intake fan blows across my video card. The bottom front intake fan blows across my water cooler.
