The river flows through sub-alpine meadows, bouldered canyons, irrigated hayfields, and deserts. The upper section is one of the most popular fishing spots on the Arkansas River and is quite popular with brown and rainbow trout. I believe that blood was from his mouth. Like the lip area. Fish wasn’t gut hooked luckily.
