A lot of us have surmised the "big bang" was too full of holes, and needed too much patching to hold water. You can't argue with established academia, they won't allow heresy to poke holes in their sacred beliefs. Maybe now questions against "dark" matter might make inroads. Doubt it, science has been enslaved by government grants to the point of addiction.

At least a new light is being shown, lets hope darkness doesn't pinch it off.

All of it is a money cow and in some cases (many) there is no explanation that can be given so they make one up...Entire time lines have been shifted to meet someone's "theory"...History is merely his-story where some truth sits but is shadowed by muddy water...They can never settle on any of it being facts or state the facts because the funds would stop flowing...

I remember a young man who challenged the process in which coal was created and was shunned by his professor whom later allowed him to do so in writing...Mt. Saint Helens would later prove him right and the entire Science community wrong...They had thousands of years in combined knowledge that was garbage...

lol  ...  Here is my thinking about the big bang...  Yes, a big bang happened, I happen to think that there are more big bangs that happen, that just one big bang did not start things from a void of nothingness, that big bangs happen from time to time in some of the universe space.  The universe is apparently never ending, let's try to wrap our heads around THAT, but maybe our little brains, yes they are bigger than other animals on earth so far, but our little brains have a hard time "seeing" these concepts of time/space/energy.  How about we let the genius among us figure it out and tell us what is what, of course with data and proof to explain it all, with the caveat that as our knowledge of things changes, so does our understanding, so we must adjust our "facts" as needed.  For me, I listen to what Einstein had to say about it for the most part.  Makes sense kinda to me...  :coffee:

:offtopic:   OK now for the silly part... do you watch Stranger Things?   I find it funny, interesting, horrifying and hmmmm makes you think kinda...  Get this ---

Brenner's experiments on Eleven were inspired by a real, illegal human experimentation program named Project MKUltra. Project MKUltra was conducted by the CIA between the 1950s and the 1970s in a bid to develop mind control techniques to help the Americans beat the Russians during the Cold War.

ok enough of this ... off to the maps  :2guns:

Linear thinking means there is a start and an end. It is often difficult for your average Joe to think otherwise. We measure the universe in billions of years since that is what people understand. You are born, and you die. Unless you start getting into the religious idea of reincarnation. But even in that way of thinking is there a beginning? A 'first life'?  I suppose however if you think of time as a never-ending circle that rotates back on itself it might make more sense. You can find a point on a circle, either degrees etc, or X and Y. Perhaps that is a point in time. We do that for many kinds of things but our limited perception of time is much more difficult.

Here is food for thought however. Can this circle expand? And of course you can travel the opposite direction on a circle that will eventually wrap around onto itself. Want something really unusual? What if it was a sphere? How would you describe that in linear thinking?

Oh and who is 'us'? And then, you had to throw in 'government money' as a rationale. As though the government was controlling it all and had some ulterior motive about the universe. 😄

How many people in the world truly understand Einstein’s theories of relativity and quantum mechanics? How many people go 'huh?' when they are explained to them? 😛

One thing most can't wrap their heads around is time. Time slows down around great mass. Time slows down with velocity. When we look at a celestial event, like a quasar, we are seeing things that may be happening rather close to our personal time frame, because the event is slowed down by mass. It may take thousands of our years for material to reach the surface of a black hole, while in its' time frame it's milliseconds. Hard to calculate when there are no benchmarks to go by for a universal noon or midnight. That's why I smile when it's claimed we "know" how much mass is in the universe. Humility comes in handy, it allows you to admit you're wrong, and keeps your mind open for new avenues of thought.

These two should have won the Nobel Prize for their advanced and painstaking research into The Big Bong. They proved without a doubt that there was more than one Big Bong.
