I cannot play this map.  When it loads, I get the map's intro screen, but then I get an unhandled exception.  This happens EVERY time.  I have deleted and let the server re-download the map for me.  No joy.  I have rebooted and rejoined the server while the map is still running.  No joy.  There's something wrong with that map.  Suggest an admin back up their current version and download the version on the redirect to test.  Or if you have a copy you are able to play with, check files on yours vs the redirect, and/or just copy yours up.  Thanks!

Hey dj. That is very strange, this map has been in a rotation for some time now without issue.  I personally haven't had issues and in comparing the files on the redirect to my own, the file sizes are identical.  I also deleted the map from my local usermaps folder and let the game download it from the redirect and that also went ok without issue.  Can't say why that is happening but have heard of something like this where a player couldn't download maps but was more of a firewall issue I believe if I recall correctly.  When you get the unhandled exception and check, did all 3 files of the map get downloaded, should be 2 .ff and 1 .iwd file, and were any of those 0kb in size?

Aside the "date modified", mine shows todays date, not sure why dates would be different, but the file sizes are the same.  It appears your map download is good so quite honestly not sure why you'd be having an issue.

Is this the only map you've had this issue with so far?

They should read

On the server that's how the file size looks but when downloaded, they are different. Check out your local file and see if they are the same.

To my knowledge so far, this is the only map I'm having a problem with.  I played this map on my old computer, which I just copied everything over from.  But after not playing for a few years, this is a new map since then for me.  I will check this map on my old computer, maybe try copying it over again, otherwise I guess I'll just have to sit this map out whenever it comes around.

Once I get on the road, I'm not sure how much I will be able to play anyway.  Don't think this game requires much bandwidth, and I don't think my ping will be off-scale high, but in all likelihood I'd be playing over a mobile connection.  Maybe Starlink.  Still thinking that one through...

Very odd dj.  These are not new maps and have been in a rotation for a long time without changes.

Ok so I figured out how to check the file size. Mine do match my usermap folder file. Just right click and use proberties to check size. Explorer I guess just rounds them up or down. Why I have to ask silly MS
