Encountered buddy in the middle of Fort Knox, while driving.  Unsurprising & demonstrated excellent traffic awareness before crossing.

This guy was 10 feet from me and my dogs while walking the path in my neighborhood.  Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic lol

Shoot the fuckers !!!!!  Eat em all up !!!  Damn car killers !!!  I have a couple nesting behind my garage and want to take them out !!!  But wifey likes them.  We raised a deer back in the 90's.  Lived under our kids swing set.  It played with our kids and followed me around when I mowed.  So naturally the wife thinks its one of its offspring.  🙄

@Timmah! Awesome as fook... Last time I got that close to one (from car) he jumped the hood of my car and slammed into the side of a pickup truck going the other direction as me...Yeah that one made it to the butcher

@SGTSmeg There was a time I was breaking trails back home and spooked a buck resting...Damn thing hopped up ran towards me and leaped...All I seen was knee caps and hooves, scared the shit out of me...I don't believe it had even seen me until it leaped...Needless to say I always made a shit load of noise when ever I went back there again

The deer in my neighborhood are completely tame and used to people.  We can walk within feet of them (even with dogs) and they don't spook.  I saw this guy from a long way away, and he saw us.  He was actually in someone's back yard right off the pathway eating bird seed.  They are like pets LOL

Yeah, back in the neighborhoods, they look both ways, wait for traffic & lounge in back yards.

Even saunter up to you if they think you have food.

Some live their lives in the woods & fields surrounding neighborhoods on Fort Knox,  never venturing into hunting areas.

The neighborhoods are full of mature mast like Oaks, Beech, & Hickory.  Deer paradise.
