Back then, they didn't operate on newborns like they do now. It wasn't until age 14 they removed it. But my eye never saw light, so even after surgery, I never gained sight in that eye. At every Dr. visit, I ask if there is any new advances to help me and the answer is no. So I do not know what it is like to see out of both eyes. Would be great to experience that, but at least I have one good eye !! Great to see these people regaining sight who lost it all.
