One of the best states for raising a family. So much to do here. Kings Island, Cedar Point, Columbus Zoo (Best in the country), COSI, Concert venues every where. Plenty of lakes and rivers to fish, boating, water skiing, snow skiing during winter, list goes on. Price of living is great too !!! But if your not use to snow and cold weather, you might not like it. We experience all seasons !!! What areas are you looking at exactly ? Like Alliance or Beloit area. For me the snow and cold weather isn’t a big deal. I grew up just south of Chicago and lived in Central and Upstate New York for quite a few years. My family on the other hand has only even seen snow once in their life.. when we went snow boarding in Tahoe this winter. so it will definitely be a culture shock for them at first. I always come back to Ohio, it has soooo much and very different landscapes and so much to see in this most beautiful state,really didn't appreciate it until I had traveled...and there is still so much I haven't seen.
