This is cobrabites oldest son uh I posted this already but just in case my dad passed away tonight at 9:40 pm he was a great dad to me and one hell of a man I love you dad and you will be missed big guy

Man, I am really sorry to hear about your dad. I had soooo many hours playing with Cobra. Had a lot of great conversations with him when no one else was in TS but us. Had a ton of fun with the guy. He is one of the reasons I joined XI. Now he is sitting in heaven with a three screen display, a smoking PC, and kicking the crap out of everyone up there playing COD. May your video cards and cpu's run cool Cobra. You will be missed.

Man that sucks, so sorry for your loss. It hurts to lose someone like that. I knew his health wasn't great. I would give him hell about losing toes, he would say FU dark...lol. Cobra sponsored me for XI. He was one hell of an xtream idiot. Loved goofing around and laughing in game with him. It was so much more fun when I would hop on and he was in game. Sad knowing I won't bump into him anymore. but thank you XI and COD for letting me meet him in the first place. RIP brother RIP.

Dam that word...and the reason I say that guys is because this is just a game. Its just a game. If someone is just sitting in the place u come alive and continues to kill even after a warning...I just make them re connect and they loose all the kills. Fair enough. As you all know I am new here and recently became a member but have played on the server for a long time mainly as Echo and more recently as Drizit. My question or observation is on the server you have scrolling that please respect players and their playing style.... ie if you like to bunny hop then bunny hop until your heart is content, run and shoot, spray and pray are all good. my particular game style is being sneaky camping ( yes the dreaded word Camping!!!) I guess it stems from being ex British Army and Ex Canadian Military that funny enough I like to stay alive while being away on various tours and being sent to the Falklands for the campaign in 82. I have carried this over to my gaming style. My point is I was called on it in game yesterday and replied via typing "Camping is Allowed" which was echoed by other players that camping is allowed. I wont mention names in an open forum but the player in question later on in the game stated that camping was allowed and therefore camping spawns was ok too and as "XI" do it !!!! needless to say I didn't say that and don't do it. Occasionally you get killed in a spawn, it happens to all of us it is part of the game especially if the server is quite full but I for one spawn and move as quick as I can and take up my position (Camping) Can we make it clear either here but better in server by scrolling banner or via comms as to what is allowed. I for one would think this would go a very long way just my thoughts and your feed back would be welcomed... Thanking you all in advance @Spinpuppy....... So sorry for saying the S Word.....

I don't know what to say......he was my best friend in XI. I couldn't have asked for a better friend. we were like partners in crime kicking ass in COD4 and War Thunder. i always looked forward to shootin the breeze with him in TS, talking about anything and everything. he helped train me as an admin, and i could always go to him for advice. when he ended up in the hospital and PT last year, gaming just wasn't fun anymore. you didn't deserve this. i miss you buddy

So sorry for your loss. I hope he has found peace. I enjoyed many many hours playing with him, and probably cursed his name many times for freezing me. Even though it was a silly video game, we occasionally shared some serious conversations, and I could tell he was a good honest man, that cared about his family. He will be missed.

It's something that comes up from time to time. There is a difference between spawning together and having to shoot or be shot in a congested map and spawn camping. Spin's solution is that I favour also - if I see blatant offenders, they're kicked. Most get the message. PS @RobMc you've taken too much medication!

A great friend.......truly a great friend. I will miss you brother and i will see you in the next map. I am so sorry for your loss and sorry i never got to know his kids. If you ever get the urge I know we'd all love to meet you in game sometime. May you find peace in your own time.

no spawn protection in cod5 DM Plz...I have to deal with that bullshit in cod4 Ace mod....look,when you spawn, assess your situation as your MOVING out of the spawn.I.E. Hit the ground running....and no spawn loitering as I like to call it, Also, don't camp spawns or choke points out of a spawn....geeez

I was able to meet him at one of the >XI< Fests, he was a great man and will be a huge loss to this world. He was one of the most dedicated members of the clan we had when he was healthy and didn't have some personal issues to deal with. He was also a very good player and would piss a lot of people off with his bunny hoppin ass skills. He was a great admin also and always wanted the best for >XI<, there will be a huge void in the clan without him around. RIP Cobra Bites. He will be forever remembered in our fallen members section on the website.

An XI Unreal 2004 server up and running. Currently set to the 'Mutant' gametype. 15 bots. In the server browser change to he mutant gametype and look for the XI server in the list. Come check it out. Eventually the goal is to get the Fraghouse Invasion mod running but I still need time to sort all of that out.

We really need a 2-3 second spawn protect/invisible for DM; like freezetag has. That would ELIMINATE spawn camping as they would die very quickly as sitting ducks. Too many are intentionally posting up to shoot just at spawns.

I have to agree with @HarryWeezer. It opens your eyes. Makes you forget about the hate you have for people and the stupid arguments. Life is too short. May Cobra rip. I had the opportunity to have some nice chats with him and feel fortunate to have know him. He will be missed.

Certainly a different look with UT than CoD but fun. So many mods and mutators that nearly anything was possible. Probably going to try and set up a redeemer-only match just for kicks. Was great fun back in the day. One of the goals is to get away from anything CoD/BF. So not the usual DM/TDM or Freezetag. Greed was pretty fun also. The rules for Mutant are simple but pretty different gameplay from the usual. http://unreal.wikia.com/wiki/Mutant Made an online demo this morning to show the server working with standard settings but it takes youtube forever to process anything these days.

Well he was having a tough time as we all know he was with the divorce and not being able to see us plus all the time he spent in the hospital becuz of his heart and he went back to the hospital for foot surgery again but this time something went wrong he went brain dead the pulled the plug around 4 but gave him pain medication but nothing worked and they "they being the doctor's" announced that he died at 9:40 pm Sorry I couldn't find a shorter way to say it

Had a few beers with Cobra at the Wisconcin XI Fest, I believe. Your right Chile, seemed like a good guy and deserved better. I think he'd battled health issues since then, thoughts and prayers to him.
