Turned out great; using bread flour this time resulted in a thicker crust compared to general purpose, even though I stretched rather thin. It also browned much more nicely.

We've had a lot since last Friday and it's way too early this year ! I thought that we wouldn't have it early after the great, hot and wonderful Summer that we had.... but, here's a little meme to laugh :

I think most of it landed in my damn driveway. Weather channel said 6-8 inches but we got 15 inches of heavy wet crap. You Dawg Gone Canadians need to keep that stuff up there. @Sally you can come over and give me a hand shoveling my driveway out. I got hot chocolate with mini marshmallows???

It would be a shame if people hesitated to post their own version of something in their own thread just because somebody else mad a version of it. 350 was a typo on my part. I fixed it. I am so used to 350F on almost everything I cook. I purchased 2 cook books during home economics in the 70's. I still use them today. After my mother passed in 1986 my father divided her cook books with my sisters and I. We were shocked because through out our entire lives we never seen our mother use any recipes. She used her hands and fingers for everything with a pinch of this dash of that and her palm for cups. When we looked through her books she had written in them. She changed the recipes to her way LOL Her being from Scotland we had her baking experience of tablet, pastries, scones, everything she baked basically was from the UK !!! She worked at the second Tim Horton's that was built for over 25 years. She met Tim Horton a week before his accident. She introduced the Tim Bits and received a stuffed Tim Bit (Only 3 were ever made). I have it now. She won the store many trophies with her design of the cream donuts.
