My love of the Canadian Rock band Monster Truck is no unknown thing, for those who dont know... I love the Canadian rock band called Monster Truck LOL. Been following them for years, seen them now 26 times live, was invited to be in one of their rock videos, have played guitar onstage to a sold out house with them.They supported my whole weightloss journey. They have taken this fan and made him more then a fan, i am a friend to the band, I dont have to pay for tickets to see them, I let them know what show I am going to be at and i come hang out with them, go out for dinner and beers, hang backstage, smoke a joint, just chill out... like... friends. I run their Facebook fan page for them. Well last night was the last night of their Canadian tour before they head across the pond for a Euro tour! (Euro members should check these guys out if they are near you and you love good rock and roll!!!) I got to the show about 4 hours early and got to hang out with the lead singer and guitarist for a while... chicken wings... beers... joints... laughs... just a good fucking time! Then they hooked me up, instead of heading off into the crowd to see the show they let me watch the show from side stage! The sound of a concert from sidestage is not as good, all the ummppffff is directed out into the crowd. The lead guitarist hooked me up with a clone of the little box thingy he uses, I plugged earbuds in and I get all the same sound he gets, which is all the instruments and mics so it sounded like i was right in the thick of it all but with the freedom of being side stage and not crushed by the crowds (yes the crowds at their shows can ge ta bit rowdy and pushy at times, its rock and roll, what can ya do LOL) These boys are so fucking amazing and just awesome regular dudes! I find it fascinating why these fuckers who mod everything still think they are 'great' players, no you are not, a blind man can see you have deliberately cheated. If you then get your rocks off by winning/getting high score it is not because of your skill - it is because you are cheating, full stop, sad fuckers, g13 cheaters nothing else. signed Rob ex ub40, pip and universal credit I also gather by reading a post we were not supposed to read that a 'safe haven server has been created for when these world class players turn up. If so then this post is useless as the decision to allow them to stay has already been made? If this is true then not many of us regulars will be left playing on our own servers - marvellous. In fact as custom maps 2 is now obviously for professional non members I would suggest we all move to 1. But what do we do when they follow us ?? answers on a postcard please

It would seem to me that any changing/editing of files from the original form to gain and edge on a server is blatant cheating. Unless all players on said server are using the same edited files I would consider it to be cheating. A person came into the WAW servers and started clearing them out each time they came in. Later that person listed all the config edits they used and still claimed it was not cheating. Should there be a vote on allowing edited configs on some servers and not others?

So you used ProMod configs,scripts and binds in other game mods? That is normally frowned apon by gaming communities and will get you banned from alot of servers. PROMOD is a completely different COD Mod. Most PROMOD servers do not run PunkBuster because modding certain configs related to textures would get you banned by PunkBuster. IMO the Promod scripts and configs and binds should not be used in any mod BUT PROMOD. When I started playing cod4 I monkeyed around with ProMod for a while and I ran a heavily modded config. I got banned from a couple servers by admins. I was banned from 2 Gun Game Mod servers and OFC (OldFartsClan) Freezetag server. I deleted the damn config and ended up joining [G13] clan. I played on there servers and XI's servers until [G13] died shortly after COD Black Ops came out. Rest is History My configs are all stock except for the following. /snaps 30 /cl_maxpackets 100 /com_maxfps 250 /cg_fov 80 Which I change to /cg_fov 65 when I snipe because it acts like an additional zoom when looking through a scope. I don't snipe very often though so it normally stays at 80. My computer is getting a bit old and the most expensive part was the Case but it works good for COD and I can definitely fuck shit up on alot of maps. Some maps I just suck at even after years of playing them and I'm OK with that. lol I play for fun. When I'm not having fun I leave. No sense playing any games if your not having fun. Which is a Huge testament to most of the members here at XI for keeping such an old game Fun to play after so many years.

first off members only should really have a say,,second if we are leaving our server to go play somewhere else what does that say about our server? third if said person that is way better then everyone else and is the problem and is a member,,I thnk that is diff,,,a member is a member,,take that to an admin only. Members are voted in with out members real knowledsge or consent(voting) so if someone is a known high end player the members had no input into them becoming a member and then its on the admins that voted them in. This is domething that i personally dont agree with,,members should have a say in voting for members to be. There is info that members may have about this person and it does not get related to the admins.
