Ok I must post about a change coming to the server tonight or tomorrow regarding the Duke streak. Because of the sprint-jump-sprint exploit it is being used for unlimited sprint around the whole map mowing everybody down. Its a high value streak to be sure but that is something that must be considered. So to compensate for that I am including a couple of the script changes also put into 1.47 that includes no jump. In essence closer to a tank. The reason for doing this in 1.47 is also as a counter balance to an added streak that is the opposite of Duke. Fast, lower gravity (for you bunnies), and with a rebalanced P90 for close range 'aim down sights' combat (no sniping and poor hip fire). No armor and only 100 health, standard SC, but it will regenerate very fast. Just to note for anyone that asks, gameplay changes like this to the main server are not done without consideration on what to do and also done with consultations. Oh, and it seems I didnt upload the fix for the semtex trick. I thought I did. I cant stop players from attempting it, game limitation, but I can do something if they try. So, for certain unnamed players (and there are several), enjoy it while you can. ?

Spawn protection is an integral part of the freezetag game, and should only be changed with very careful and extensive deliberation, IMHO. Of course I am biased because I am a person who uses as much spawn pro as possible - combat medic and kill streaks picked specifically so I can get more spawn pro. I don't see any problem with the spawn pro length on short maps. It just means your team needs a different tactic. Everyone has the same 6 or 12 seconds to get somewhere and get to work. Your defense against spawn protection and being shot by someone coming out of it is to properly use cover and your teammates to control/monitor your flanks.

That's a REAL good point you make here, but I feel the gameplay is great with the spawn protection and it makes for great come backs and great matches. Oh well you get killed every now and then in the back, I will take that over the chance at an epic come back

Sorry Labob me old mate but this is certainly not the message I understood from the members in all their posts. There was never a problem with cm2 or ftag, the problem was with certain individuals, who I also understood, after agonising deliberation would not be playing on the servers again. So from what I read in your post they are not banned, but the server has been altered to discourage them, this is how it reads? In other words after almost a year of members complaints, nothing has changed, other than the fact that the servers they enjoy playing on they no longer enjoy playing on? Markoff a ten year plus member had the guts to quit over this, I admire his principles. What is blindingly obvious now is there is not much point being a member, and even less for donating to the servers. If other regulars agree with this add a like to this post please, kind of quiet protest.

I have been, needless to say, all FOOKED UP in my head ever since! my mother died of renal cancer!, they found it at my current age my mother was when they found hers and said, it's nothing don't worry about it and we buried her 8 years later when she lost her battle ? my world has been turned upside fooking down, my wife has just overcome breast cancer and now BOOM BITCH! my psa levels were almost off the chart, which is a totally different kind of cancer, I thought wow, not 1 but 2 kinds of cancer WTF! today however has brought GREAT NEWS! not only do I NOT have prostate cancer, I DON'T HAVE RENAL CANCER EITHER! my psa levels are normal now?? and the cyst is BENIGN ????

They are using the stun grenade and 40 points is the standard impact damage done for it compared to all other grenades at 15. It was made that way in other games as well not just cod4.

I am confused ,we are making these changes to help discourage "WORLD CLASS,HIGHLY SKILLED PLAYERS" instead of just out right banning them.I see that Everette is back and still out scoring our best players by 40 to 60 deaths,we should not let these type of players determine what changes we make to our servers.Leave the servers alone and just ban the "WORLD CLASS,HIGHLY SKILLED PLAYERS" how much easier could it be.

So let me see If I can explain this to ya all. You had a few player who would come into your server and hand you your butts. You did not like that. You all got very upset and made a huge stink. I fixed it now the players who come into your server can't kick your butt. Now one would think we would get a thank you for that. So now I hear and yea I get it you don't like the fix to the first problem. So if I turn it off you get problem one back. I really have to ask are you guy's pm'sing ?? or are you just bitchy lately ? Another thing making a treat that you will go play elsewhere does not work. We have the best servers if you went elsewhere their admins would ban you for all the bitching plus you would be playing with people who want to win. And all the players you have banned. Plus I would think there are more people who would stay then leave. And you would miss them to. So its all up tp you guys and gals. Do what you think you have to but for now the server stays the same. I'm not going to open up that other can of worms. If you want to jump I'll put the low grav server back for a while.

Theres actually quite a bit of skill involved in cooking it for a certain length of time and knowing how that corresponds to how far you can then throw it without killing yourself. Its a minute part of the game anyway though so meh.

And yet another reason people don't like playing on the DM2 server.

I feel the same @McGrim The server which we enjoyed so much for many many years frustrates at the moment with the new settings. Far less fun! Maybe make a different set of settings for the dm2 and dm1 server?. Let the members choose with their feet which server they enjoy the most?

New XI member making a simple comment! The new server settings suck and to be quite honest I've gotten the same feedback from other members and all the regular morning players that come in on a daily basis for years on end. This is not the server we have enjoyed for countless years just because of some players that rarely play on here. Put it back please before you loose the majority of the regular players that we all have enjoyed laughing with in the morning since the original breakfast club I wont be able to use my new sneakers until its fixed

Hi All, There has been exciting new changes to the Rust Server. It is now solo/duo only gameplay which has already encouraged more pvp and lots of new players. Timmah has added some great new plugins that have encouraged new pvp like dangerous treasures and others that have been working great! Pick up a copy of the game at steam.com or humblebundle.com. Look for sales! There was a new wipe last Thursday and all players started new builds. We are also using a custom map right now that is pretty awesome! Thanks to Timmah for all his hard work administering this server as it is a lot of work with the plugins, wipes, and drama!

All we are asking is to make server 1 DM1 the way DM2 use to be. All that is, is changing the jump height back to 8. You were asked to make another server for the cheaters (DM1), which you did, and now he doesn't play on either one. If you would of just left it alone (DM1) and not messed with the jump height there would be no more discussion on this. It would be stupid to change it over to low gravity server again cause we had not much traffic on it. If you want servers with traffic on them you should listen to the people that play on the server, not someone that plays 1 hour a day.

Useful in some situations. If youre CPU is bottle necking, it might help with some games. Generally it just eliminates processes that are unneeded, you could do it yourself. Looking around reddit its also just considered bloatware like every other games booster. If you do give it an install, dont use the system optimization features due to the fact it has potential to break stuff that isnt broken. (Example : WoW addon-s and such)
