    >XI< Corona Virus update

This Corona Virus has turned everyones lives upside down, it has affected everyone in one way or another. It will also affect >XI<, with so many people loosing their jobs and with the unknown of whats to come, people just don't have the money to spend anymore or donate to their favorite clan. In the coming days and weeks I will be making some changes to help reduce the monthly cost of the clan. This includes removing servers, and combining dedicated servers which might mean a dip in performance for some of the servers. We have money in the bank to cover shortages but I don't wanna burn through all of that in a couple months because this could last more than a couple months. So I feel reducing the overall operating costs per month is the way to go. I'm working with Duc to find the best servers we can get for our money. I hope to reduce the cost of the monthly clan fees from $600 to $400 by next month, maybe even lower if at all possible. Also with this virus we have a higher amount of people on the servers since most people are not working or can't go out and do anything. For the COD4 MW2 Freezetag the server is filling up with >XI< members, this then starts to redirect >XI< members to a different server. To help with this we have added another COD4 MW2 Freezetag server, that runs exactly the same mod just different maps, so when you get redirected you are still able to play on the same mod. Here is the server info 162.248.95.161:28960 >XI< MW2 Freezetag #2. Its times like this that having this clan/family to play with is such a blessing, I couldn't image myself not gaming with you all right now. Its a nice way to get away from the reality of whats going on in the world. Thank you to everyone in the past that has donated, thank you to everyone that signed up for the monthly subscription in the past and currently and thank you to everyone that continues to donate through these tough times. We will get through this and will be stronger on the other side. Stay safe out there and lets do our part to stop the spread of this virus and sit at home and game.

  2. Bless you I will be donating right now, this whole pandemic situation is so serious, the best thing we can all do to help (survive and keep our loved ones safe) is to stay at home and GAME. (Gaming reduces stress, and if you do like me and exercise, dance, and of course get your work done, WHILE GAMING, you can be very productive while having fun.) As for the future, if we should lose internet.... widespread chaos, riots, mayhem ... Meanwhile, game on!

  4. I would say this is a good call but this should be a last ditch effort as in current times our servers will be packed up....There is a good chance other clans will not fauir as well and we may even see more of other clans in our servers....We can always down size and a plan should be in place but for now we need to strengthen our coffers... Keep your eye on the donations We got this and Thank you for the headsup

    Tank you admins

I know i said it last night but wanted to say thank you to all the admins that responded to the trouble we had on 1.7.10. knowing that we have people that care about keeping the environment safe and friendly for everyone and are willing to respond quickly makes this a fun server to play on.?

    Goodbye

Ten years of good times on the cod4 freezetag 1 server are coming to an end for me. I'll be moving to Japan in a few weeks, roni allowing, and will not be able to play with you guys anymore. I would like to thank each and every one of you for all the fun I have had over the long years gaming with everybody. The fact that the server is still going strong over 10 years later really speaks for how great an environment you all have created. I hope that if I come back in a few years the server is still alive and kicking. So soon it will be goodbye for me, but keep on being awesome guys. Best regards, merder, tiny, roni, cyclist, calculator, nostalgia, mentally, uguu and a bunch of other names

  14. This is why I have made the chose to stay home at this point because I do not want to risk this being more than what it is and giving it to others. I feel like shit . I sleep a lot but my body hurts so much I can't really sleep but then the temps get to high and I pass out sleep a few hours and back up trying to get stuff done at home because just because I am sick don't mean my family stop living . Mom life some time you gotta love it but I would not change that for the world.

  17. I understand my friend. As I mentioned to Giggles in a PM, its the unknown that makes this even more upsetting. This situation is changing on an hourly basis, speculation seems to be the norm these days and there are more questions than answers. Your concerns are very valid and I can understand the fears and frustration you must be feeling. I apologize for me loosing my goose earlier, it was uncalled for. I too have someone very close to me that this virus could be extremely harmful to. We all have to do what we can to prevent this.

  19. Stressed out is an understatement, I think alot of people are nearly in full panic mode lol. I just don't want or need my dad getting this crap. With as many health conditions as he has I doubt that he would have a chance in fighting this crap off. He doesn't get out much unless he has a doctors appointment. I'm sure that every Son or Daughter has the same concerns especially if there parent/s have existing health problems. I've had several bad experiences with our local hospitals and there doctors. My 92 year old grandmother fell and broke her hip. She was a very active, kind and funny person and in really good medical and physical condition considering her age. She mowed her own 2 acre yard and planted a big garden every year and she taught sunday school at her church. But while she was in the hospital she got a bad case of Pneumonia which she did not recover from. Who's to blame? I have no idea. Maybe it was just her time to go. Dad was given an experimental drug by his Doctor down at UPMC Bedford Memorial to help with his Diabetes and it caused his kidneys to shut down and he had what they called a mild heart attack which caused irregular heart rate. They life-flighted him up to Johnstown Conemaugh Memorial. They installed a pace maker to deal with his irregular heart rate after they got him stable. After 2 months in intensive care and 4 months of going in once a week for dialysis and a year of outpatient treatment his Kidneys are back up to 80% and slowly climbing. He's 71 and back to his grumpy self for the most part but he is a bit frail. He lost around 100 lbs in the 2 months that he was in intensive care. He weighed around 260lbs now he weighs 158lbs. I am concerned and I have a rite to be especially knowing the way that things like this can easily be mishandled. But this isn't the place for my ramblings and I am sorry @PimpedOutPete I wasn't pointing fingers at the whole healthcare profession and definitely not you. I have nothing but pure respect and admiration to anyone that helps people in need.

  22. Pete I don't think anybody is really upset with the Dr 's cuzz we all know yall are our front lines of this. I think EVERY person on this planet is stressed out about it and right now all anybody is doing is pointing the finger at anything that comes out as messed up .... I thank all of you for being our line of defense on this. I really wish I knew for sure what was going on with me ....I did my part but I feel like I was brushed aside because of them not having what is needed to protect them selves and they SHOULD think about them selves also . In this state they are already running out of stuff to take care of the sick.

    Goodbye

I used to play cod5 DM with a guy in the service stationed in Japan. His ping was exceptionally high but he still made due with what he had, and actually was quite good. Shaun plays cod5 freeze tag almost everyday with us and he is from south africa. I don't want to give him a big head but he's an excellent player with a ping of 300 on an average. What I'm saying is give it a try what do you have to lose?

Have you seen the canals in Venice right now? Beautiful! And there's fish in them too now ? Never realised that's what it was like without the boats going up and down all the time.

    Might come to it.

First time I used a bidet, it was in a hotel room in Japan. I never sat on a heated toilet seat before and I freaked out because I literally thought someone had just used the toilet before I got to my hotel room.

  31. You did, and it was appreciated believe me, however you then began to rant and rave to everyones replies, you are a long time idiot and should know there would be disagreements and joking, that is our nature. You are a nice well meaning bloke, it's water under the bridge, but give us some credit and enter into non insulting discourse with us, we still like you don't worry. I have monitored the statistics myself since your post, they may not be accurate as I can only use numbers in the news. What I see, in Europe at the moment, is a death rate of around 4%, 3.7- 3.9 UK and others, 4.6% Italy, we'll see how it pans out over the next week, no pun intended. Talk to us nicely and we can have a discussion not a fight, we appreciate your concerns believe me.

  32. Hello every body , Im from Canada , here is my opinion and self experience about Coronavirus. I was returning from a 16 days cruise on march 1st , to port of Los Angeles , three days after i was ill , slight fever headaches coughing a lot , and runny nose, two days after , i had to call ambulance to get me to hospital cause of difficulty breathing, bubble sound in my lung , impossible to stay abed or even sit too much coughing . At my local hospital they isolate me in a special room , and they took special protocol to threat me and test me for different disease including covid-19 and flu . The personnal of hospital thanked me because i told them all the good information and i didnt get in the emergency wiating area to possible infecting people there. Thx god everything was negative , but they treated me for infection in the lungs with penicillin for 10 days and i has statex also for helping me sleep and not coughing. Our government took it seriously and the put lock down mesures to slow down virus spread to insure the system is gonna be able to treat and have enough equipement to cure citizens. They do not want to loose control like Italy who reacted too late and doctors had to choose who they gonna treat. Here its easier beacuse everyone as free hospital and all of this. We are still limited by bed availiabilty and breathing equipement. In US i read that over 35 millions people are not insured (including the illegals) . hope you not loosing control of the spread. This virus gonna cost a lot of money and gonna put finances of most country to enormous deficits , and i say also lot enterprises gonna run bankrupt hope this not gonna put the world in big recession. I think we should take this serious and think to save our elders and others with health bad conditon. I hope 1'll never be responsible to infect another and possibly send im into death . Take care evrybody. Mark

  38. I have read the article and I agree there was several things that could have and should have been done. In the early stages of these virus, most of us in healthcare were trying to come to terms with how to deal and treat this. Its been chaotic and stressful at times believe me. The article you quotes mentions that this was a worse case scenario, sadly that doesnt help those who got sick and died. As a healthcare provider, I can say without a doubt that we do our best and our priority is the care of patients. Sometimes we fall short but we are willing to put ourselves in harms way if needed to save others. I can not say that with anymore sincerity. Now that I have that way. As for your statement. Your level of "Monday morning quarterbacking" is not useful and yes unproductive. Like any profession, we in healthcare are open to constructive criticism which you havent given at all. I have heard you bitch and moan about healthcare providers twice in two different states and you profess to not rippin on doctors? This is huge crisis! We are managing something that we have never seen in our lifetime. If you do not have constructive things to say with your complaining, then I suggest you take it outside or better yet, join me in the hospital, dawn on PPE that covers you from head to toe and make a difference. God knows we can do with the help! If not, grow a set of balls and shut the hell up. Now isnt the time to bitch and do nothing, Im all open to that later but now we assistance. Sorry for the rants guys, just stressed out. Pete (Ter)

  39. Not rippin doctors that do there job the way they should. All it takes is 1 careless or infected person in the medical profession to carry something like the COVID 19 and infect many people around them. Coming in sick or not properly disposing gloves, masks or gear or simply not properly removing gloves and touching stuff like door handles, beds, elevator buttons ect ect can spread this shit since it has a life expectancy of up to three days on hard surfaces like steel and hard plastics. It was confirmed that 2 of the health care people are responsible for bringing that crap in to Life Care Center nursing home in Washington state. In total, 142 confirmed cases, including 35 deaths, have been directly linked to Life Care Center of Kirkland. The worst thing is that they waited for 3 weeks after the 1st person got critically ill to start testing people. By that time 142 of there 180 residents had got sick. CDC said limited testing, access to protective gear and staff working while sick contributed to COVID-19's spread. Have a read. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/21/us/coronavirus-nursing-home-kirkland-life-care.html and this https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/times-watchdog/coronavirus-spread-in-a-kirkland-nursing-home-for-weeks-while-response-stalled/ Someone dropped the ball big fucking time and it wasn't the people that were housed there.
