Ok my view of this They are a conqured people. Just like every other conqured people they are forced to asimulate into the new society. I'm sure this was done in those days for reasons they thought sound. Times were different time were harsh. The goverment of then was, was it was. The goverment of today is one whole lot different. Nobody should think holding anybody from this day and age resoponsible for what happenned 125 yrears ago. But the indiginous people of today are using the past as a weapon to get what they want. They want todays goverment to change what happenned in the past. They want there land back as well and self governace . In my first sentance I said they are a conquered people. So and many has said this they are at war with Canada. What bothers me is the goverment is handling this with kids gloves. And treating them as fools. If you or me were to close a highway or block a road. Sell tax free ciggerettes to no status indians of tax free drugs or gas. We would be handcuffed and locked up so fast . And we know that because that against the law. Our goverment has decided to not inforce the law with the 1 st nation people. Including those who wish to be native and protest with the first nations. This is just wrong. You cannot solve a problem this big with that attitude towards people. This leads to what I am calling terrorision from some people 1st nation or other wise burning churches. This day and age in Canada a canadian attacks 6 churches you know there going for the terrorisiom charge. Will not happen here they will get a hug and some pity saying wee understand your feelings. This is how you do it. Sure Sir John A was an asshole but he was also a visionary . The church and I do not care what brand of church keep anazing records of everything they do EVERYTHING ! They do know the names and location of every grave they dug. I like what pete said education and laws that help protect the people who the goverment should protect. And not just with the firast nations. How many times has child health care giving some poor kid over to a family member who is a monster. Inforce the laws do not muddle them with misguided intentions. Because at my age I've lived within mile of first nation lands my hole life and they do not respect our laws. They do as they please and they know they will get away with it. I would also like to say this. Ask for your due from the goverment but take care of yourself as best you can. Do not blame somebody else for something you could of done yourself. I know I know but they live in the middle of nowhere and they relie on the goverment for assitance. Help yourself we all have to do this. Trying not to be rasict in this tread is a chore but our forfahters and there forefathers dragged them selves out of a hole and did some damm great things along teh way. Hiding history is not the correct way to do this.2 points

Happy Canada day or Native Indigenous peoples day

I have pondered at length about our forefathers, were they naturally cruel through upbringing, naturally uncaring, oblivious to others anguish and pain etc etc. This was not just Canada it was the attitudes generally I think. God knows there must have been little mercy, light or sympathy in their souls, as Pete says to do this to children beggars belief, but it was common everywhere, girls put in asylums for getting pregnant, their babies taken from them etc etc. We often fondly remember them as being hardy folk, but there was a darker side to them that was hidden in history on lots of things. Have we improved? I'd say partly, but only in certain countries, slavery is still rampant, abuse of children in all manners still there, corruption and crime rampant throughout the world etc etc Has it ever occurred to you if you have worked for criminals?, I'll bet you have at some point albeit unknowingly, their huge sums of laundered money go somewhere, and mainly into purchasing legitimate companies. Eventually they will control governments, countries and every ones lives, no different to the old pirates and slave traders who invested in land and factories and became rich, hence respectable.2 points -

Hey Guys First of I am of indigenous heritage, my mother is a survivor of the residential school system. Though I lost her to cancer at a young age she was able to share with me a few of her experiences. Its difficult to share those stories for no one wants to think that their loved one having to endure such pain. I wont mention these stories here but if you wish to learn of a few, please PM me. This is a part of history and a part of our fabric as a nation, dark as it may seem. Thousands of children died in residential schools and their bodies rarely returned home. Many were buried in neglected graves. Canada's residential school system forcibly took children from their families and placed them in institutions rife with physical, mental and sexual abuse. These were children, trusting little spirits who believed in their hearts that it would all work out and in the end tragically it did not. What makes me proud is how our schools today are treating this subject. I grew up learning of pioneers and settlers who endured their own hardships and earned their rightful places in our history. For the first time, schools are teaching more than what you can learn in a simple vignette about Canada. https://www.todaysparent.com/family/parenting/these-quotes-from-residential-school-survivors-can-help-kids-and-parents-understand-their-experiences/ This is not a political subject guys, the outpouring of grief and pain this nation is experiencing is overwhelming at times. We have to provide the hope and the vision that we can learn from the past and as a country, never go back there.2 points -
map skipping

Can we either stop map skipping and encourage players to quit the map and come back after the map is finished or if map skipping is allowed can it not be selective?1 point -

Regretfully you are correct my friend, there are individuals who are indigenous who wish to blame their lot in life on anyone and anything without taking one once of responsibility themselves. But please remember those individuals are the one who wish to have the spotlight for they want all the attention, good or bad. There are countless who wish to live their lives as you and I in peace. There is a lot of to be done and burning of churches are not one. Pain and suffering only leads to more pain and suffering. If one thing Labob I wish to express is this is beyond historical events of 125 years ago. Some of these events happened in our own lifetime, to many people still alive. There is a lot we can learn from each other.1 point -

What about those Canadians that honour our history and don't want violent anarchist mobs tearing down our statues? No respect for them in your world ... eh? Unity is not allowing mob rule. That's BS. When the war comes, your team, the 'respect us while we tear down your statues' people will get their asses handed to them by the rural folk, the vets and the hard working people who are currently keeping this country afloat. I'm not sure if we are supposed to do politics here, and if not, I'll happily delete these posts. But until then I'll call out BS when I see it.1 point

There are 1000's if not millions of unmarked graves in Canada. Most 'pioneer' graves are lost to history. Those indigenous graves are not mass pit graves ... as in some mass murder, they are graves lost to history because nobody really cared for those children. That is the tragedy. But now that the problem is politicized, there is no way out and no way to have any honest discussion about what really happened. I hate that those children died alone and uncared for ... but I won't participate in the mass handwringing and guilt that some want to perpetually perpetrate on Canadians. Far worse is the fact that Canada is now ruled by unelected, unaccountable and almost unnamable bureaucrats who have taken away our basic human rights and who answer, not to Canadians, but to some shadowy European 'health' organization (WHO.) Further the little dicktator Trudeau will not hold elections till HE says the pandemic is over. Canada is has lost her sovereignty and democracy can't save her because democracy was the 1st thing taken from us when Covid started. I wear my Canada Flag patch upside down in public now as a symbol of distress.1 point
