Weekend BBq
TheDrimpXI and 5 others reacted to bds1961 for a topic
Built a new Barbecue for my backyard and I am slowly getting use to how it cooks. This weekends meal was Fillet mignon shish kabobs. love the size of it. The kabobs were made with Fillet marinated in a soy sauce, honey, garlic and Ginger marinade and skewered with bell peppers and red onions. Always a huge hit with the family.6 points -

VACCINE" CRIME INVESTIGATION MOVING FORWARD IN THE UK
lTplkey336 and 3 others reacted to baldie for a topic
Well I read the news via multiple mediums and I am afraid this is fabricated rubbish. This is just some idiots going to extreme measures to cause fear and panic. And to be realy honest I am sick to my back teeth seeing this shit everywhere. It does nothing but cause the elderly and insecure stress and anxiety. And before I am called a sheep of other names ect ect , I am a very well educated man in my 50's who does his own research, I have a sister who has spent 35 years as a nurse and now teaches other nurses and doctors, my nephew works in the medical research field and is lead on several projects (please note not Covid) Covid is nothing more than an extreme version of flu it will kill the elderly and inferm, The vaccine is designed to make the symptoms less of a threat not to stop the virus. Exactly the same as a flu shot. Now please do your own research and not be a sheep and jump on the bandwagon of misinformation.4 points -

Life in the western Maryland mountains
Hunter1948 and 2 others reacted to EastCoast50 for a topic
I've lived and worked in the urban and suburban environment bordering Washington, D.C., at the Delaware beach and for over 11 years now in the rural western Maryland mountains. Each are different and have challenges, but I believe living nearly 2000 feet above mean sea level has the most. The views, wilderness and wildlife are amazing ... and has some things that most people never get to experience. Black bears, coyotes, bobcats, wild turkey, rattlesnakes ... fishing, hiking, off-roading, shooting sports ... it's all in the hills and FAR away from politics and over-population. All of these videos and photos were taken at the two different properties that I've owned since moving here. Side note: Maryland is a politically corrupt state, but the western counties don't play well with the rest of the state.3 points -

Yeah, when I started with a small department at age 20, they didn't require a college degree. However, they ended up paying for mine. The large agency I retired from required a degree for employment, and higher degrees for certain ranks. Personally, I don't believe you need a college degree to be a cop because most states/agencies require annual training and education that meets or exceeds college course studies (law, etc.)3 points -

Hi guys and gals. Belated happy new year. I'm so sorry I've not been in the game or posted anything for a long time. As some of you know my PC died and I replaced the motherboard when I turn it on its showing no signal from the PC so I dug out my old computer and plugged the hard drive in and it booted up. After about an hour of updates I checked it only to find out it was the wrong hard drive. Well after putting the correct one in and several hours of updating it worked. Then came the loading of the game. It's starts loading great then just goes off. I'm still working on it. I really miss you guys in the clan. Hopefully I can get it fixed and see you all soon. Till then take care..2 points -
If a pet/buddy is securely attached & the owner/buddy is busy, they get attention when they can; sitting at the desk or the shitter makes no difference to them. I owe him my undivided attention whenever, leaving him in a box for hours at a time. It's a privilege & obligation.2 points

You are probably right, but from first hand experience it does cause fear. My 26 year old Autistic son a few months ago while at work was told all this conspiracy bullshit and he fully believed it now we have tried to raise all the kids to make up there minds them selves and make informed choices ( 4 have had the Vaccine 1 has decided not to) and we as parents have supported that decision . But when this rubbish causes my Autistic son to have extreme anxiety and panic attacks because he was told that this is all about control by the government the vaccine is fake and just a drug test that will fuck up future children and cause problems long term, now that pisses me off, we as a family have had to constantly reassure my son everyday that he will be fine and that silly people make up stories for attention and if he has any questions talk to us or one of his councilors. We should not have to do this life is hard enough for him without the added crap of fairy tails .2 points -

I agree with you. Beyond basic training, I was further trained, educated and experienced in behavioral science. The human being is a myriad of progression throughout life. What we choose to do with that training, education and real-world experiences as individuals makes the difference and defines us.2 points -
Not just LEO's, any public service field, where interacting with the public is a central component of the job. Nursing, gas stations, White Castle... seeing people for what they are & handling the situation to make it as sm00th an interpersonal interaction for all involved, while not taking it personally, is integral, crucial. For yourself & whoever else. Reading a person or persons & using benign manipulation, mirroring, empathy... just as part of the 'job'. Psychology courses, maintaining detachment... yadda yadda...2 points

As a Game Pass PC subscriber, I welcome this news. It could all go south, because, well, Microsoft, but consider what an absolutely spectacular thing they did resurrecting MS Flight Simulator. FS2020 is a quantum leap in flight simulator realism. Everyone thought MS had totally exited the market, and X-Plane became the defacto standard. X-Plane was good, too, and I even switched to it before MS ditched the FS team. But when FS2020 hit the market, I think it must have all but killed X-Plane in one massive sucker punch.2 points -

Character would be paramount, imho. Having been in customer service of varying degrees- with & without degrees - not taking what some random stranger says personally is a requisite for equanimity & sanity. Some places do great; others need to filter for temperament.1 point -

Well some know I have been on a journey and have shared some findings with those close to me here... From cancer to heart problems and lung problems...I have searched high and low for years for answers...We are all getting older and have children and Grandchildren coming up behind us and truth is it is to them we owe this knowledge even if it is to late for ourselves...This journey has led me down so many paths that I have more regrets in raising my own children the way I did... First thing first I wish to give a warning to everyone on some research that has been done in the medical field and is not being talked about to the general public...***Mercury and High Fructose Corn Syrup*** I could give links to both medical and Government findings and receipts but I always tell everyone to search for themselves and expect no one to simply believe my findings...However I beg each and everyone of you to do the work of researching for you and your loved ones... ( If needed I can lead you in the right direction ) Second is ***Vitamin D and the lack of*** this vital "hormone" and the cause and effect...With technology advancing in our homes and work/schooling places we are being less and less exposed to proper sunshine and this effect is very broad from weak immune systems to learning disorders/dependencies and a whole host of long term effects over ones life time that become horrific... Third is seeds and ***why we should not eat seeds*** as we do...Seeds by nature have a casing that assures they can lay in a permanent state of readiness to sprout...As we all know the acid in our stomachs can not break down these casings and they are the leading cause of cancers in ones digestive track...Seeds are naturally clingy and as such with out a high fiber diet they become stuck to the lining of your digestive tract and your stomach walls where your body will attempt to protect itself by encapsulating them "cyst" there by reducing your body from being able to absorb proper nutrients it needs...Think of your stomach as a colander and after every hole is blocked even water can not pass through... These are critical things I have listed and there are plenty more that I will get into later if there is interest from this thread...Everything I speak of here or that which may appear to be a suggestion to ones health must be taken up with your Doctor or Healthcare provider...Just I ask that you remember that no one knows your health better then you... I look forward to your responses here because there is so much more to share and frankly I care...I am aware this is a gaming website and that we are family and should be able to help each other attempt to be healthy for ourselves and loved ones... It is our responsibility to pass this knowledge down to our youth and family members... ***Designates key search words***1 point
