1). Who cares 2). I (and many others) think It was a staged stunt 3). The woke Hollywood and Oscars are no longer relevant IMHO and they have to do something to get attention. 4). Carry on

The joke was bad because he knows Jada is having issues with alopecia, or maybe he didn't, but to walk on stage and physically assault someone just isn't right. They should of dealt with this behind the scenes. But I don't know, if it was my wife, I'm not sure I would be able to hold back either.

YEP! Would any of us be talking about the Oscars here, today, if they hadn't staged this stunt? NO!

I'm amazed at those of you that thought this was important ? Yesterday on the news I saw a 68 year old Ukrainian man who had sheltered in his cellar with his wife when Russian soldiers had taken over his house. One of the Russians stole his booze and got drunk, he came into the cellar and for fun shot off the oldmans right foot with a shotgun, this unfortunately is true. Get real, these actors are taking you for a ride, they are Charlatans, lower than politicians REAL LIFE IS IMPORTANT

Hi whole life & family have been messed up by Hollywood. Open marriage, weird kids & 2 careers at the end of the road. Did you see how old he was in the last Bad Boys movie? Chris Rock is paid to be up there to make the Oscars memorable .. so of course he will say some controversial things. Assault is assault and Smith is lucky Rock didn't press charges. Smith was good and funny but he's so over now.

Well tbh he laughed at the joke. And then I think he realized that it upset his wife and I think any husband would be pissed off. I'm sure that's a sensitive thing for her. It would be for most people. But maybe he should have been removed for his outburst. Unfortunately it's a topic of well.....I understand where he's coming from and than violence is never the answer. It definitely was a slap heard around the world.

  12. Worked in the Airline Industry, with most of that time at the Detroit Metro Airport(DTW). Did most all of the different ground handling positions - load / unload - parking - driving those little 'tugs and carts' around. Also worked weight and balance using a 'manual computer' . After 43 and a half years decided to retire (31Dec2016).. Working manual labor outside in all kinds of weather is a 'young mans' game. Before and after retirement picture.

How refreshing to see a man stand up for his wife. How typical to see snowflakes and libs condemn it. "The (Motion Picture) Academy does not condone violence of any form." Does that also go for the Ukranians?

Dude, he fucking POSED for the slap, with a dramatic pause; & he turned & walked-off with a comedic swagger. Nothing more than a stunt. And Rock's faux expression is not one of someone genuinely surprised at being slapped on-stage in front of a television audience. After initial surprise there would have been even the briefest moment of an angered micro expression: nada.

  16. There's a few of us on the forums and in the clan that could probably talk your ear off on it with various opinions and ideologies on the topic. I will not name names out of respect for privacy One thing I think crypto investors can agree on it that Bitcoin would be the 'gold' standard and I'd suggest reading up on it prior to investing. Michael Saylor, CEO of Microstrategy is one of more prominent voices in the space and if you watch some of his interviews or the 'masterclass' videos out there. You'll learn a lot of the case for Bitcoin. What you will not hear from him is a possible use case for alternate coins (Ethereum, Solana, et al)... I'll post just the Youtube links and try not to embed the videos to shorten the response: Philosophical and lengthy series by Robert Breedlove - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rvTppy1qLI&list=PL2jAZ0x9H0bQFY6wIbQfnrnIlqMcSHd6X Microstrategy site for guidance and resources - https://www.hope.com To answer your inquiry, you can open up what is called a hot wallet with an exchange such as Coinbase, Crypto.com, Gemini, FTX. Only keep what you want in your hot wallet what you are comfortable losing should there be a devastating hack on an exchange. If you're not comfortable losing any of your money (ikr?) and increase your holdings and positions, I'd recommend obtaining a cold wallet - a physical device to transfer your crypto onto. Here are a few hardware wallets I can attest to: Ledger - https://shop.ledger.com/pages/ledger-nano-x Trezor - https://shop.trezor.io/

  20. Hello dear boy, haven't seen you for a while, you and @EastCoast50 been shacking up again ? practising your COD skills and thinking you'll beat old Rob? Never happen until you boys sober up and buy spectacles, so I'm safe. The condom testing never took off the ground, or my scrotum to be more precise, I discovered I was latex intolerant, shrivelled up and couldn't even get them on. So I took the soft option and left, what a farewell send off, they must have spent a fortune on balloons. Due to my experience and age I'm still on a retainer for diaper testing, but only part time now, working on one at the moment for a chain of curry houses. You boys (and EC) over there probably aren't too familiar with the UK's favourite food, the reason why most men and women are 4 XL +. Hot curries in order are Madras, Vindaloo, Phall and 'Blood Orange', referring to the waste products and effects. I'm in the development stages of a new variety of blood orange, the pressure testing, retention and odour control aren't going well. I deduce this from the reluctance to approach me by any of the team, wife or friends. But hey ho early days, we'll get there eventually. Rob

  24. My favourite job was about 40 years ago in the Middle East as a clairvoyant, on a Friday after prayers I'd gather them around me, burn some incense and a candle. In the dim light and spooky atmosphere of flickering candle light I would invoke the spirits :- 'Is there anyone there', I would chant, as the audience were spellbound and glued to my every word 'There are mists forming' 'A spirit is trying to communicate with someone' 'I am beginning to see a letter, it is getting clearer' ' The letter is M', I screamed 'Is anyone here called Mohammed' ????????????????????????????????

What do you do for work?

I have been in the IT industry for over 22 years now. I am currently a Network Security Engineer. I've worn about every hat in the IT industry it feels like. IT director for 2 small cities, Network Engineer, Field Network Engineer, system admin. I worked for the isp Time Warner Cable (with @Izumi for a few of those) now Spectrum for 11 years. I can put people to sleep talking about ip packets and why their connection to the servers may or may not suck. I have worked with about every switch and firewall manufacturer it feels like. I slapped in a few old work photos. Most of the things I work on now are globally remote that I rarely physically touch.

  35. For nearly 20 years, assembled car seats for the Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis. For about 14 of those years, I was a supplier quality engineer dealing directly with supplier for new model changes and production quality related issues. Ford shuttered that plant in 2011, London Ontario, so our plant closed as well. For the last 10, been working in a bearing manufacturing plant making/assembling bearings (tansmission bearings, differential bearings, wheel bearings, chain guides, belt and chain guide tensioners, belt pulleys) serving customers (Ford, GM, Chrysler, Honda, ZF, TRW, Mitsubitshi, Nissan) from NA, Mexico, Thailand, Korea, China, Japan). Carried over in the supplier quality role for first 7ish years and for last 3 years, now do the same thing but on the customer side, so now deal directly with the customers on our plant quality related issues. After nearly 30 years of the automotive world, I've had my fill of stressful and crazy busy days. In a couple of months, I'm packing it in and my wife and I are moving to another province to start the next chapter of our lives. I have now just started my training on becoming a certified home energy advisor, a lot of material so will take a bit of time, but a completely new line of business from what I'm used but is interesting and will essentially be my own boss once we get to where we are going.
